Twin Lakes Fishing Camp, Hawthorne, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Being here a week on our snow bird migration path to visit Gainesville. The park is in a nice quiet area. People here are mostly permanent types with a few travelers. Bathrooms not very clean. Good for fishing and hunting. Unfortunately, neither ATT or Verizon provide good data connection signals here, too remote. Park wifi is extremely slow. So we are running away... We camped at Twin Lakes Fishing Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Mirabel Trailer Park, Forestville, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Old, run down park. Unfriendly and near nasty management. Old, dirt filled site, not level, small. Just electric and water, no sewer. Most folks stay here are the permanent type with old, run down rigs. Stayed here one night. We will avoid this one in future. We camped at Mirabel Trailer Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sonoma County Fair Grounds, Santa Rosa, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This county park RV park is in pretty bad shape. Restroom not only old but not kept clean. The camp host is pretty rude and interested very much to show RVers his power and ego. No wifi service and the Verizon mifi does not work so well here due to over crowded tower service. Just checking an email can take more than ten minutes. I do not think we will come back. We camped at Sonoma County Fair Grounds in a Motorhome.

Sanborn County Park, Saratoga, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We came to this county RV park as many other RV parks in the Bay Area closed down. The RV sites are difficult to level and only for smaller units. We have a 27 ft class C so it was OK lengthwise but had a hard time to level. The county park closes its gate at sunset but we were given access code to get in at night. Unfortunately the code we were provided were wrong as they did twice. We were stuck at one night for more than half an hour. The camp host never answered calls or knocks on the door of his/her motor home. Other campers told us they never saw the camp host anyway. The ranger station was not attended so you do everything online. We will never stay here if there is another alternative in the Bay Area. The high housing cost has driven most of the RV park out unfortunately. This county park has no incentive to improve its service. We camped at Sanborn County Park in a Motorhome.

Cottonwood RV Park, Mission, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

We ran into this nice RV park unexpectedly. We had reservation in the next door RV park but when we arrived there a week ago, the gate was locked. Phone calls to that RV park were not answered. We drove into this park and they do have open lots for us to choose. Monthly rate at $250 is reasonable for the Mission area. We want to be close to the Bentson Palm State Park to watch bird so this RV park is only within two miles, a nice location. The restrooms and showers are clean. It is quiet here but not a lot of shady trees.

The rates do not include electricity which is metered and you pay whatever you use. It is a nice little park. I am glad we came here, the owner/manager next door was not as nice. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Road Runner RV Park, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the RV park after visiting Death Valley NP and on the way to Quartzsite AR for the rest of the winter. The park is well managed and very clean. It is noisy at night due to the proximity to the street but the close proximity to shopping and other services is a big advantage. Wifi services are reachable only to those sites close to the office. We recommend this place to any RVers visiting Las Vegas. Please bring cash as payment as they do not accept credit cards. We camped at Road Runner RV Park in a Motorhome.

Furnace Creek Resort RV Park (Concessionaire Operated), Death Valley National Park, California

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Unfortunately we had to stay here as the NPS campground with hook ups was completely full. The RV park operated by a private contractor is a disgrace to the National Park service. There is no or minimum service, the wifi system is extremely slow almost all of the time. The wifi also sends out random warning notices saying your connection will expire in 1 to 4 hrs almost every day. When I challenged the attendant she just give me a number to call for the secondary contractor who provides the wifi service.

Sites are placed close to each other to maximize profit for the contractor. The dump connectors sit high so it is not easy to use. Hook ups are at the end of the site, and you need to use extensions to make it work. Sites are not leveled. We camped at Furnace Creek Resort RV Park (Concessionaire Operated) in a Motorhome.

Wasatch View Estates and RV Park, Ogden, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a couple of days to visit the area of Ogden and Salt Lake City on our ways to the national parks. This RV park is filled with typical long term residences in mobile home parks. The club house is pretty clean but there are a couple of issues we had with the management. The water pressure is very unstable, sometimes very high and other time very low even with our in-line pressure regulator. The wifi service is a joke. It only works in a very small area next to the club house. We could not connect even inside the club house and there were two other frustrated RVers complained to the managers. The management said there was nothing they could do as the internet service provider did not maintain their wifi router equipment and just ignored phone calls. What a joke. We will not come back. We camped at Wasatch View Estates and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tower Campground, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for two nights. The park is not as good as we stayed four years ago. Managers are pretty rude, did not offer much help at all. Wifi does not work but they still passed out password to fool RVers to try. Neighbors told us the wifi had not been working for months. Restroom is pretty dirty. Water pressure low and unstable. Looks like we will not come back, too much running down from the good experience we had four years ago. We camped at Tower Campground in a Motorhome.
