Pleasant River Campground, West Bethel, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00

Located in a stand of large pine trees, there is plenty of space and shade. Friendly staff, quiet location with nearby river access. Very nice. We camped at Pleasant River Campground in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Park, Monticello, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access. Near the highway so some road noise. Gravel sites, fairly level so no issues leveling.

Nice bathroom facilities, otherwise spartan.

Enjoyed the stay. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

United Campground of Durango, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Trying not to just pile on, but ...

Check-in should have told the story. Not friendly, clear messages on 'no discounts' and 'no river access'.

Our opinion of a heated pool apparently differs from the owner's.

Free wireless internet was among the worst we've experienced. Good signal strength but repeatedly just drops offline. Really, not usable for anything.

Free cable simply was not available.

Did I mention 'no discounts'?

Showing pictures of the Animas river as though you could access it is misrepresenting the park. All access is denied, fences are up, gates are locked.

Sites are very tight.

Bathrooms/Showers need some cleaning and work.

We didn't stay at any other parks in Durango though will certainly look elsewhere next time. We camped at United Campground of Durango in a Motorhome.
