Boomland RV Park & Campground, Charleston, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here late for an overnight. There is self service check in, pull through site and insulated water hookups. It was easy to get into and easy to get out of the next morning. We camped at Boomland RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Movietown RV Park, Canton, Mississippi

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We did two overnight stays here, once on our way to Texas from Illinois and once on the way home. It's a nice, clean, quiet campground close to I55. It was easy to get into and easy to get out of. There are pull through and back in sites. We camped at Movietown RV Park in a Motorhome.

Boston / Cape Cod KOA, Middleboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was friendly and helpful and the campground was clean and neat. There appeared to be many things for the children to do. However, while this campground had many positive aspects, I would not stay here if you planned on a good night's sleep. We had loud parties late into the night on both sides of our camper, children playing and screaming at 11:30 at night-every night- and people cutting through our campsite-walking between our chairs- while we sat around the fire or at the table. There was incessant dog barking that never stopped, and loud music along with drumming-yes drumming- late at night from the cabins across the street. Could not wait to get out of there! We camped at Boston / Cape Cod KOA in a Motorhome.

South Padre Island KOA, South Padre Island, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived in mid-January with no reservation. Not a good idea. They were able to get us into a pull-through site for the the days we had planned to be there. We enjoyed the sun and the gulf enough to stay for another week. There is a great seafood restaurant inside of the grounds. The pool and got tub are nice and rarely crowded.

We are going back next January for a month. They give monthly rates that are not terrible. We camped at South Padre Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Kickapoo State Recreation Area, Oakwood, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is the nicest state park that we've stayed in in Illinois. The sites are large and most offer privacy from other sites. We do plan to return. We camped at Kickapoo State Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Moraine View State Park, Le Roy, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in the middle of a very rainy period. The site we had was high and dry but many were lower and quite swampy. The drainage in the park needs work.

The roads through the park are nicely paved and the lake is very nice.

It was a nice place to stay but I don't think that we would go there again. We camped at Moraine View State Park in a Motorhome.

Morrison-Rockwood State Park, Morrison, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for two nights on a shakedown cruise on our "new" 2004 motorhome. We had one of two pull through sites. It was easy to get in and out of and the electrical was easy to reach.

Most of the sites are nicely shaded although there is a more open area on a cul de sac with a small playground area. It's a nice campground with many nice sized dry level sites. We camped at Morrison-Rockwood State Park in a Motorhome.
