Muscatatuck Park, North Vernon, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

While $32 is an excessive amount of money, the rv sites were very close and the restrooms were very dirty. It is handy and just off Rt 50 for an overnight, but not good for much more. Access road coming down to CG is narrow and twisting. Even though the CG is posted as a "fee"area and not accessible to the general public, there was a lot of traffic, both foot and vehicular, through the CG area that did not appear to have a reason for being there. I would be hesitate to park and leave my unit there unattended although several people appeared to do so. We camped at Muscatatuck Park in a Motorhome.

Four Seasons RV Resort, Salida, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Owner/manager very pleasant person. We have found a lot of campers have dogs, big dogs; but barking doesn't seem to be a problem. CG strongly emphasizes the need to clean up after your pets. Entry in and out of CG is steep and awkward; difficult to see driveway when traveling east on Rt 50. We camped at Four Seasons RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cedar Creek RV Park, Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Nice location that is handy to a few restaurants and shopping. Gravel sites are too close together to make this enjoyable for more than a day or two. Not enough room for a picnic table, but a small two-seater bistro table is provided. Naturally no fire ring. Site was not long enough for tow car and we parked it behind on edge of road. However, owners/managers are really nice people, very pleasant to deal with. We camped at Cedar Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Jordanelle State Park, Heber City, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and well maintained park. Sites are terraced above the lake. We were on the lakeside level. Only drawback was that restrooms were on the tier above and it was either a rather steep climb up the hillside or a longer walk around on the road. Separate unisex showers on the outside of the building. We would camp here again when in the area. Interior roads easy to navigate with large unit. We camped at Jordanelle State Park in a Motorhome.

Handy to Dinosaur National Monument. Nice park, gravel sites. Very clean restrooms and laundry. The management staff is very pleasant to deal with. Offered an extra discount for cash rather than credit card. We camped at Outlaw Trail RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy access off I-80. Sites nicely spaced and well maintained. Ours had a grassy area with table and grill. Restrooms are very clean. Food from the Bar and Grill was good. Staff very pleasant to deal with. We camped at Double Dice RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cisco Grove Campground & RV Park, Soda Springs, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed during the week, so it was quiet. Just off I-80 and convenient for one night. Weekends might be noisy as this apparently is an OTR park. Roads are gravel, sites are dirt; and sometimes not very well defined. Fire rings do not come with the site, but can be rented for $8 for the entire length of your stay. The staff we came in contact with were very, very nice. We camped at Cisco Grove Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Desert Rose RV Park, Fernley, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

OK park for an overnight. Mostly seasonal or permanent residents. First sites coming in aren't too bad, but back where we were, its more like a parking lot. No grass, table, fire ring - just enough room for the MH. Seemed to be a lot of traffic through during the night. The people who run it, however, are very, very nice. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Portside RV Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Just stayed overnight while enroute. However, we would not return again. The park is totally asphalt and gravel, not a blade of grass in sight. Sites are very narrow; roads are very narrow and difficult to move through. It is quiet, except for barking dogs, the people in the office are very nice; but the park consists mainly of park-model permanents and it is very crowded. We camped at Portside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Approx. 20 spaces beside/behind the Inn. Inn amenities are available for RV guests. Handy location from which to tour the local coastline. Staff very friendly and helpful. Road noise minimal. Handy to grocery, clothing store and gas station. Only one pull-thru. We camped at Ashley Inn in a Motorhome.

Maupin City Park, Maupin, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Too many trailers/tents squeezed into too small a location. Too long a walk to the showers from the trailer location. On the river, some rafting done from this location. No place to park your tow vehicle that doesn't put it in a position to get hit. Picnic table was half rotted with pieces missing. We camped at Maupin City Park in a Motorhome.

Yakima River RV Park, Ellensburg, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

CG manager was very congenial and helpful; can't say enough positive things about her. However, a commercial campground that does not have restrooms and showers should not be charging the same amount as those that do. They do have 3 port-o-johns instead of bathrooms. Ugh! We camped at Yakima River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Carl Precht Memorial RV Park, Omak, Washington

Nicest restroom facilities we've encountered on a three week trip across country. 75 cents for a shower. Perfectly located for a trip up the Cascades unless you want to take your unit partway up the mountain. We camped at Carl Precht Memorial RV Park in a Motorhome.

Steamboat Rock State Park, Electric City, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great park located on Banks Lake. Ideal for boaters. Sites and pads large and nicely spaced. Filled to capacity when we were there. Bay loop has a cove where boaters can tie up and leave their craft. It has a sandy beach and a little swimming area. 20 minutes south of Grand Coulee Dam. Boat launches. Three different CG loops plus several additional primitive tent locations off the main highway. We camped at Steamboat Rock State Park in a Motorhome.
