Fifty Point Conservation Area, Grimsby, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

One of our sites was littered with cigarette butts and other small trash. Told them at the gate and while they said they'd see to it, they did not while we were here. The gate/phone staff was very pleasant and otherwise quite helpful. There is a $12 Canadian reservation fee, which makes a 1 night stay less reasonable than a longer stay. Luckily the exchange rate was favorable for us! We camped at Fifty Point Conservation Area in a Travel Trailer.

The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone, Verona, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here two separate nights in July. The first night we were initially across from a gazebo next to a pond. We changed sites because the Canadian geese had taken up residence and their poop was everywhere. Suggest requesting a site less likely to have goose traffic. Office was helpful. Facility is beautiful. Very clean facility as long as you are not in the vicinity of those pesky geese. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at The Villages RV Park at Turning Stone in a Travel Trailer.

Neighbor's sewer very close to us. Site flooded when it rained. BUT the park is extremely well maintained and the staff is friendly. We were impressed with the facilities. Would come here again if in the area. We camped at Wapakoneta KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Deerwood Park, Evansdale, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This campground within a park is a little gem that doesn't seem to get much publicity. The park is beautiful, on a river and with a small lake. There are very nice playgrounds and a boat launch ramp. We were passing through for just one night, and it had what we needed. There is self check in, and it was very inexpensive with full hook ups and strong wifi. The park was not crowded and we had our pick of spots. The bathroom is not fantastic, but was fine for us. There was a small laundry. We would happily stay here again. We camped at Deerwood Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Had full hookups but was out on a site without cable. When asking about cable we were told it was a small amount more but that it was not available at our site, and they didn't think there were any sites with cable available. There were plenty of open sites and ones directly across from us with cable. What was that about? The bathrooms were clean with good showers. They are right at a completely open entrance to the park right next to the railroad tracks. The door to the ladies room was propped open both times I went there. I did not feel secure using the bath facilities at night. We did not use the tiny pool next to the tracks. The site was level. You can walk to Wall Drug if that is your thing. It didn't appeal to us. Would stay somewhere else if we happen to pass through here again. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
