Silver Spur RV Park, Silverton, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Requested a pull through. Unfortunately you can not stay hooked up. As we were only here for one night it was a nuisance to have to disconnect. Reception was good and staff are friendly. Sites are wide open with no privacy and very short. 32' trailer was fine for length but had to park truck beside trailer and many spots people were parked on the grass. We camped at Silver Spur RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Only here for one night so even though we were in a pull through, we had to disconnect because sites are very short. They are wide enough to park your vehicle beside unit. Seems pricy for what you get.

Tips for other Campers:

Have stayed here prior. Park is well maintained. Excellent Wifi. Excellent proximity to beach. Well stocked store. Friendly staff. Entrance and registration is confusing as sign is up high and not in direct vision while driving. Registration is inside store. Site wass perfectly level. Exiting from park is somewhat circuitous and not well signed. Would stay here again.

Lamplighter Campground, Revelstoke, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Called and site was empty so they allowed early check-in. Reception was very pleasant and accomodating. WIFI is probably the best we/ve ever had in a campground. Power, water and sewer were all good and properly placed. We had pull through right next to office. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

One of the nicest RV parks we've ever stayed at. Close to town (2km) and a great walking trail on other side of river. Lots to do in area, however, the Revelstoke Info Center folks were less than helpful. We wanted info on hiking and they were of no help. Best to go to the ranger station.

Golden Municipal Campground and RV Park, Golden, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Called and out site was available so they let us check in early. Lovely spot, right on the river BUT across from the railroad tracks. The trains run 24/7 and every 20 minutes. A real challenge at night. School across the street and the kids wander through the sites. The water spigot was 25 meters away so they provided long hose. Power was good. No sewer so no one's going to spend a long time here. Showers were clean and $1 for 6 minutes. We camped at Golden Municipal Campground and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Historic Hat Creek Ranch, Cache Creek, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Water can be had from black rubber garden hose. Wifi did not work, even at restaurant, no sewer. Overpriced for what you get. Site is dirt & grass. Toured the grounds and it does a great job outlining the history of the ranch but glad I did not pay the entrance fee. Showers are a long way from Rv sites. We camped at Historic Hat Creek Ranch in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park is well maintained and clean. Roads are gravel but in good condition. Site was level and clean. All utilities at site worked well. Great resort, very reasonable boat rentals, free use of kayaks, canoes, owners very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again. We camped at Nimpo Lake Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Family Tree Riverside RV & Campground, Sicamous, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We called day before and asked about early check in and were advised no problem, not very busy. Arrived @ noon and no one around. Waited for 1/2 hour before owner showed up. No apology offered. Wifi only outside office where the tent and chairs are too filthy to sit in and then there is the battle with mosquitoes. Wifi was sporadic so went to library in town. On hooking up water it was a rusty brown color. I ran it for a few minutes with no change. Owner advised water is potable, however, there is a leak in the system which is why the water is discolored. Claims water samples are tested weekly. Had to buy drinking water while there as water did not taste good.

We were advised to let owner know if we wanted to use laundry so she could run water through system so clothes didn't get discolored. Wash $4.00 and dry $4.00. Most expensive we've come across. We used laundromat in town. Roads are gravel with significant potholes which were filled with water. Sites are generally level and owners allows you to drive on grass to create a pull through for some sites. We camped at Family Tree Riverside RV & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The Historic Chilcotin Lodge, Skookumchuck, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

15 Amp power tripped when using our TV or any appliance. Owners very helpful but sites are sloped so had to use 6 - 2x6 to raise rear of trailer. Sewer drains are uphill. Very overpriced. Stayed 2 nights to visit Farwell Canyon which made the stay worthwhile. We camped at The Historic Chilcotin Lodge in a Travel Trailer.

Whistler RV Park and Campground, Whistler, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

No telephone reservations. On check-in, girl was not welcoming at all and bordered on rude. We asked for the Wifi code and we're told Wifi was $11.80 PER DAY, BUT you could stream Netflix it was so good. We signed up for a week & rec'd a 7 day pass code. Ookla speed test and DL was 1.02Mbs & UL was .036 Mbs. Requested Wifi refund which was subsequently received. The interior roads are paved & the views are beautiful. Our site was not level side to side. Need to add gravel to site to raise up. Sewer drain is higher than RV pad, so hose goes uphill. Staff need some serious customer relations training. Park is 20 minutes from Whistler and 35 minutes from Squamish. We have stayed here before and will stay here again. We camped at Whistler RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Glacier Peak Resort and Winery (formerly Skagit River Resort), Rockport, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 6 days in Site 1 of Sun RV Court. Front door of trailer faces onto dusty gravel road where everyone goes as fast as possible, even the staff in their golf carts. There should be speed enforcement or speed bumps to keep dust down or in the best case, pave the road. Sewer drain faces in opposite direction and is behind a 6x6 post. There is a compressor (restaurant air conditioning?) that runs until almost 11:00 pm and it emits a high pitched whine like having tinnitus of the ear. Had to have the trailer air conditioning on to mask the annoying whine. The posted rate is $29.00 and the Good Sam discount was given. The park is under new ownership and they have a massive job to rehabilitate the run down park. Wifi is great. Eatery has an extremely limited menu with no vegetarian fare. The kitchen stove exhaust fan has great runs of yellow and orange grease running down the side of the restaurant. Once I saw that my appetite was gone. Best thing I can say is that they appear to be trying to improve things. We camped at Glacier Peak Resort and Winery (formerly Skagit River Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Mount Shasta City KOA, Mount Shasta, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

On arrival the desk clerk was fantastic. Friendly, helpful, funny. Even told us cheapest gas and groceries, which turned out to be true. Sites are a little close together but still adequate. Sites are gravel and level. Perfect location for access to hiking in the area. Only negative was the train whistles but they were infrequent. Gravel roads created dust when inconsiderate drivers went too fast through campground. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Yosemite Ridge Resort, Groveland, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 14 nights. On check in they undercharged us $200. We let them know and they charged us the $200 but little in the way of thanks. The laundry room is appalling, dirty, dark, and one of the dryers did not work so you spent far too much time waiting. On 2 occasions mysterious charges appeared on our Visa in the amount of $1.00. We questioned it the first time and after 3 calls the owner gave us a buck. The second time we brought it up the owner never got back to us. We had 1 of 2 pull through sites and it was very large but so sloped that I could not level my travel trailer even with blocks. The park was quiet and adequately maintained. The front dessk has postcard type handouts showing a nightly rate of $40 but the rate is actually $50. Water supply was very close to the ground and right beside the sewer connection. We camped at Yosemite Ridge Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Yosemite gate is 25 minutes away. Yosemite valley is 1 1/2 hrs away. Wifi was mediocre when no one was around and non existent when park was full. Verizon wireless was spotty at best dropping nearly every call. Nearby Groveland has a library with good Wifi and mobile service
