Holiday Trav-L-Park, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $67.00
Overall Rating:

Check-in takes 20 to 30 minutes. Our site had no electricity. That took another half hour. Most sites are not level. Most have grass....our's only had dirt and rocks. TV was good on an antenna. Cable costs more. WiFi is through Tengo and is only free for 1 hour out of every 12. Not a place we'll be back to. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lazy Acres Campground, Fayetteville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Entry road is very bumpy. Interior roads are also bumpy, but not as bad. All sites are a mix of sand and dirt, with some gravel. Sites have a concrete patio with picnic table and fire ring. Cable is good. WiFi is Tengo Internet, but is fairly good most of the time. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The Barnyard RV Park, Lexington, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We had an overflow site with no sewer. The overflow sites are on an access road in the park with traffic. With our slideouts out, the traffic had to drive on the grass. The park has plenty of trees and some shade. Most sites are gravel with a concrete patio. Cable is good. WiFi ranges from poor to weak. The roads in the park are paved, but many have potholes. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Charleston KOA, Ladson, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Park was about average for a KOA. Sites are gravel, and most have trees. Roads are paved and easy to navigate. Cable is analog and has a poor picture. WiFi is weak at best. There is a small dog park just outside of the park, but you have to walk through a site to get to it. Folks are friendly. When it rains, many sites have water to wade through. We camped at Charleston KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Campground has lots of trees and shade. Cable and good WiFi. An enclosed dog park. Friendly folks. An Ice Cream Social every Sunday. Sites are gravel, but level. Lots of improvements being made. We'll be back. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Daytona / Speedway KOA, Daytona Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Very few sites have shade. Most are grass, some gravel. Our picnic table was on the hook-up side of the unit. Some sites had broken-up concrete patios. Campground is old and has not been kept up. WiFi was weak, even though we were next to the tower. Way overpriced for what you get. We camped at Daytona / Speedway KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Creek RV Resort, Fort Myers Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with lots of amenities. Geared for permanent or seasonal residents, but with plenty of overnight spaces. Most sites are fairly tight. Close to Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel. Heated pools, exercise room, fenced dog park (small). Would definitely stay again. We camped at Indian Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Eagles Landing RV Park, Holt, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

A nice park, close to the interstate. Sites are gravel, with grass on both ends (you drive onto the grass to get to the gravel site, and over the grass to leave). Sites are fairly large, with a picnic table. Roads are gravel. Decent antenna reception, as there's no cable. WiFi cost $1 per device, per day. All in all, a good park. We camped at Eagles Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Paragon Casino Resort RV Park, Marksville, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

One of the best campgrounds we've been to. All sites are pull-thru with a tree, grass, concrete pad and patio with table and benches. The park is a ways from the casino entrance, but there is a free shuttle that comes through the park every 5 to 10 minutes. We camped at Paragon Casino Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites are paved, with a Picnic table. All sites have a shade tree and grass. The grass on the perimeter is not mowed regularly. No cable, but good antenna reception. WiFi is weak when connected, but does cut out frequently. No services at the CG. We camped at DiamondJacks Casino and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Sites are fairly spacious. Roads and sites are paved. All sites are back-in. Lots of grass in the park. Some in the center of the park (away from the lake) have trees. WiFi is sporatic. No cable, but a decent antenna signal. We camped at Natalbany Creek Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Campgrounds of the South, Gulfport, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We went after a rain, and found out that the interior roads are the drainage. Water everywhere, and all the grass was soggy. Roads are tight, with little turning room. All sites have concrete pads, most of them cracked. No picnic tables or fire pits. The park is cash only, no credit cards. One big negative....the only trash is all the way in the back of the park. Not a place we'd stay again. We camped at Campgrounds of the South in a Fifth Wheel.

Hidden Lake RV Park, Ardmore, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel sites and roads. Long sites with grass, some with concrete pads. A lake with kayaks and water slides. Interior roads have some ruts, but easily drive-able. The main road to the park is fairly narrow. We camped at Hidden Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park, Quanah, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Sites and roads are gravel, but lots of grass between sites. All sites have a picnic table. Not much of a town, everything is 8 or more miles away. WiFi was good, but the cable is poor...only 5 channels and poor reception on them. We didn't use any of the facilities, as we were only there one night. An OK park in the middle of nowhere. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
