We stayed here labor day weekend 2015. Our family actually had 3 sites. From the time we checked in we had problems. As soon as the owners or "stalkers" as we called them seen my husband and brother-in-law were of Hispanic origin they were driving past our campsite every 5 minutes staring at us. By Saturday afternoon all 3 of our family's decided that ok we came here and will stick it out but we will NEVER come back or tell anyone about this place at all! As soon as it gets dusk the place is like a ghost town and they make sure it stays that way. I mean who does not sit around a campfire and talk at night? Not this place evidently. Lights out by 10pm. Our 13 year old son could not even go play basketball without one of us (his parents) holding his hand. They made us pay for our daughter as an adult(17 years old), but she was not even allowed to take the kids to the smallest pool ever. So why do I have to pay for her as an adult when they still treat her as a child. The only good thing they had was the singer Haley on Saturday. Nothing for kids but a playground and pool that fit about 8 people max to be comfortable. This park should be only made for permanent sites and it is for sure NOT family friendly. Picnic table at each site-Enough for 2 people, 4 if you like to be squished. Thank goodness we put our furbabies in boarding for the weekend. I could only imagine what they would of said. But older people that stay there all the time had their yappie dogs out, but of course nothing was said to them about the barking all night long! Nope if I could give this place a zero-I would even give it a negative number! They need to learn how to run a family oriented campground with actual activities and quit stalking people! Never coming back! We camped at Wolfie's Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We have been coming to Berkshire for about 5 years now. We just travel to stay on weekends. The kids love it. There is so many things for families to do that its a packed weekend. My parents even come up from Pa to stay. Never complain. The staff in the office are just AWESOME every single time we have been there. Never had any issues with the sites or people at all. We camped at Berkshire Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Have to stop and visit the Party house. Has great food!!

This place is a really nice place. The basic $46/day for 2 people weekends is steep and then add $3/day for each child. We have four. It was not worth the $58/day that we paid. If they want it to be a family friendly campground, then they need to make the prices family friendly and most families that camp have more than 2 people. We camped at Cross Creek Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
Alum creek state park and beach is about 5 minutes away!
