Lathrop State Park, Walsenburg, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We got to pick our own spot, but watch out for the "Reserved" signs on some of them. We were far enough away from others to still have privacy and a great view. The park employees patrol regularly and it's really quiet all night long. Stayed two nights and wish it could have been longer. Very windy when we were there. We camped at Lathrop State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We just hung out and took long walks. Our neighbors brought their boat for the lake, bicycling would be nice.

Alma RV Park, Alma, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

The RV park was crowded on the day before Labor Day but the park managers (great people) graciously found us a spot. The RV next door took up both spigots for water but we didn't really need it. Not the park's fault, but they gave us tent camper status for our tiny Casita. People staying at the park were nice and grass was nice along with a concrete walkway. We camped at Alma RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We were tired and stopped because it was the first RV campground we came to after RMNP. It was incredibly $65.00 for the night, I was too tired to argue. The guide to our site mentioned there was a bear in a tree nearby, we noticed people taking pictures. The site was dusty and had a lot of food scraps lying around. We were by a creek, or small river and the sites were very close to each other. Loud music started from somewhere after 9pm. There appeared to be no one checking on the safety of patrons and there were cars driving through all night too. Will not be back. I heard one of the ladies in the office charging another customer the same amount. We were pulling a small travel trailer. Bear was gone the next morning and so were we. We camped at Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain View RV Resort, Canon City, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

After paying for our one night stay, a man in a golf cart very kindly showed us to our site. Even though the site appeared clean, he wiped the table off and helped with backing in. The site was very level with a nice shade tree and the view was great with no road noise. I used the laundromat the next morning which was also clean. We will come on our next trip through Canon City. Thank you. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
