Ocala North RV Resort, Reddick, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Quite park well off the busy roads so little to no road noise. Friendly campground and staff. While this park is big rig friendly, the sites/parking pads need some real work to have a better surface to park on. They are cement pads but most are cracked and broken up making them unattractive and not as stable as they could be if constructed properly. The roads going through the campground are not as wide as one would like with a big rig make it difficult to pull into even though it's a pull through site. There are some pull through sites which have departures which are a bit steep and may cause an issue with a toad connected. Park cable at the site we were on was not working correctly. When I requested it be worked on they sent someone over with a test monitor similar to a flat panel tv screen to check it out. He verified there was an issue but want able to do anything to correct the problem and told me to contact the office to let them know. I told the technician I already did and that's why he was sent out and he needed to tell the office it needed to be corrected. The technician agreed to contact the office for me. We camped at Ocala North RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much in the area for shopping or restaurants. They have a small dog park which really isn't large enough for more than a couple of small lap dogs let alone a few larger dogs such as Labrador retrievers or larger breed dogs.

This is a very nice campground! The campsite are very level. Make sure if you have a big rig you ensure you have site which has a cement to park on. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Park is very quiet, has lots of places to hike and explore. Sites are relatively level with cement pads. Campground is big rig friendly. Very close to the parks and Orange County Convention Center. This is a gated park in a very nice area of Orland with lots of shopping and restaurants close by. Very clean, level sites and big rig friendly. Not a large park which makes it nice since there's not a lot of traffics going through the park. The pool area is very clean and easy to access. Two Rivers Campground, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice & friendly hosts. We arrived about 20 min after the campground office closed but the office staff was still around placing the late arrival packets out and greeted us. They took the time to explain the best way to travel the campground to get into our site. Great service! Being the middle of December the Campground was pretty full. Sites are very close together but has grass next to each site. The bathrooms and showers are very clean but the showers are tight but useable. Pool was closed but the pool area looked very nice. The camp store is large and well stocked. We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We arrived on T-155 and the exit was backed up for 45+ min trying get off to get to the campground due to an event going on at Opryland. Make sure you check events going on at Opryland so you can arrive w/o having to deal with the backups. Nashville does not manage the traffic well around the exit for Opryland, which is the same exit for the campground, and needs to overhaul the exit to deal with the congestion.

Whittington Woods Campground, Whittington, Illinois

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed last night on site # 5 which was a very nice site and very level. The sites are full hookup even in the winter. The park is open year round which makes it nice when traveling south in the winter months since many parks are either closed or have their utility's, ie water, turned off. We camped at Whittington Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

RedRock RV Park, Island Park, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Outstanding views of the lake, mountains and prairies!!! The park is a bit off the beaten path but well worth it. We love how quite and secluded it was! The area's outside your RVs are all grassy and very large because you share the area on the curb side of each RV with the next RV. There is a lot of room between you and your neighbor out side your door. The sites are very level. When I went to setup my hydraulic jacks the motorhome told me I was already level so all it had to do was stabilize my motorhome rather than having to level it as well. The only issues we found were the noise of the ATV's after dark/after quite hours when the ATVs would return from the daily outings. The other issue was the closeness of your neighbor on the hookups/street side of the RVs. The hookups for sewer, water and electric for each site is shared with the person next to you, every other site faces the opposite direction so you have a neighbor right next to the street side of your RV which is very close. (I think you could almost share your salt and pepper with the person next door by opening your windows and passing it between RVs. LOL!) Other than those two things the views and how relaxing it is at the campground is great! They have a very large area to walk your dog which is very nice since most campgrounds just have a small area or none. The people who run the campground are very friendly and willing to help in any way they can. This is a park we will return to next time we're through the area!! We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Motorhome.

Big Mountain Campground, Nephi, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The people who own the park are very friendly and accommodating! The park only has 30 Amp service so with a big rig like ours it can be a problem if it's hot and want to run both AC units. The owner said she would make sure she found us a shady site with plenty of room for our motorhome which she did. Our assigned site was very level and easy to get setup without having to make any adjustments by running up on blocks, which I was very pleased about!! The only issue we had was the trees blocked the satellite dish so we had no TV since you don't have cable or over the air TV. We didn't mind since we had lots of reading to catch up on as well as e-mails to read. The WiFi is a bit slow and doesn't work well for streaming internet video such as Netflix. Also the park has a quite hours from dusk to 8:30 AM which people with kids didn't abide by during our stay as there were little kids running around the park unsupervised until after 9:30 PM making lots of noise. Other than that we really enjoyed the park and will be back if/when we travel through this area again! We camped at Big Mountain Campground in a Motorhome.

Brigham City / Perry South KOA, Brigham City, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Way over priced for the condition of the park, how close you are to the next RV, etc. When we arrived my wife went in to check-in at the front desk. My wife said the lady behind the counter wasn't overly friendly and didn't have anyone take us to our assigned campsite. The camp site wasn't level and one of the workers left their sweatshirt on the electrical post. The site had full hookups but the cap over the sewer pipe was broken/split. The park just looked like it was one where the owners wanted to get your money and do the least amount of maintenance possible to get by. The bathhouse had spider webs on the windows and the facilities needed a good update. This is a KOA which is at the bottom of the standards to retain it's status of a KOA. We will not be going back to this park anytime soon and most likely will look for other parks in the area if we revisit the area. We camped at Brigham City / Perry South KOA in a Motorhome.

Billings KOA, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean, well maintained, pleasant/helpful staff, big rig friendly and lots of options for sites. This KOA has great access to the Yellowstone River for fishing, rafting, kayaking, etc and is an example of what a KOA should be. Since the river was low we took our two yellow Labradors down to the river bank and let them play in the water on leash. The current seemed a bit fast, even with it being low, so we didn't allow the dogs to be off leash swimming in it. Only issues with the park we found was the dog park is very small and the site we were assigned to was not level causing us to have to block up four of the 6 wheels as well as the hydraulic jacks. Regarding the dog park, if they would triple its size it would be acceptable for a small dog park. We camped at Billings KOA in a Motorhome.
