Salem Farms Campground, Salem, Connecticut

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Quiet, family-friendly campground with several activities hosted by campground every weekend (to include hayrides, arts & crafts, DJ dance party, etc.) People are respectful of the noise curfew and the speed limit. Office staff very attentive and helpful. We camped at Salem Farms Campground in a Tent.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to bring an extension cord since all tent sites share the same electric portal. You will need quarters for the showers.

Brialee Family Camping, Ashford, Connecticut

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Large park with MANY amenities (boat rentals, pet beach, mini golf, endless kid's activities, food bar) and a helpful, friendly staff. Cons: sites are very close and cluttered. There are no tent-specific sites, so you may end up tenting in between large RVs like we did. On the plus side, though, every site has water and electric. Unfortunately, while we were there the bathroom near us had only 2 toilets working (out of 5), and the store ran out of ice. Campers were respectful of the speed limit, but the noise curfew was definitely not enforced. We camped at Brialee Family Camping in a Tent.
