Copake Camping Resort (formerly Copake KOA), Copake, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Enjoyed our stay after rude check-in. Felt like an imposition on the person checking us in. Beautiful park, well kept grounds. Although busy on the weekend it was very quiet and peaceful at night. Gated park is nice but a better entry process would be better. If you don't put a $20 deposit on a key for re-entry you have to stop and call the office and they open the gate. There are better systems that don't require the inconvenience of the key card deposit. We camped at Copake Camping Resort (formerly Copake KOA) in a Motorhome.

Meadville KOA (Was Brookdale Family Campground), Meadville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Good: beautiful grounds. Not so good: park on grass, no gravel or patio, 1st site not level. They immediately moved us to another site. The security gate although nice to have, was inconvenient. Had to put up $10 deposit for an entry key. You had to leave the camping area to get to the dumpster, store or laundry, then drive back thru the gate to get back to your RV. Water pressure so low you couldn't start 2 washers at same time in laundry. Yellow flies were so thick most of the days that we couldn't sit outside. For the price we wouldn't stay here again. We camped at Meadville KOA (Was Brookdale Family Campground) in a Motorhome.

Shelby / Mansfield KOA, Shelby, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived 15 minutes early for 2pm check-in. Someone was in our site so we were more than willing to wait. At 2:15 we were advised that they were going to upgrade us to a patio site at no extra charge for the delay. The check-in was fast and friendly and the service outstanding. It was a holiday weekend and crowded but not one issue. Lots for the kids to do, although not included in the nightly rate. Peaceful country location. About 7 miles to town. My Verizon cell and MiFi worked fine. We were able to get satellite. They do have cable. One of the best KOAs we've ever been to. We camped at Shelby / Mansfield KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much to do nearby but with everything at this KOA you don't need to go anywhere else to have fun. Small town about 7 miles away with fast food, grocery, gas, etc.

D & W Lake Camping and RV Park, Champaign, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Long level gravel pull-through, site 13, facing small pretty lake. Lots of trees. Asked for site where we could get satellite. Well kept park with easy access from interstate but didn't hear noise. Pilot Station and McDonalds at same exit. Very friendly and efficient check in. Park almost full so if you don't arrive early I would make reservations. Verizon Cell and MiFi worked great. Near shopping and restaurants. Would definitely return. We camped at D & W Lake Camping and RV Park in a Motorhome.
