This is a brand new RV Resort! It is truly a hidden treasure since it recently opened, not many people are aware of it yet. It will be booked far in advance once the word gets out about this RV resort. The staff is extremely helpful! Since I was traveling alone, they did not hesitate to take me to my site and guide me while backing my 5th wheel in. The resort was originally designed to be a motorcoach only location, however, the owner had a change of heart and decided to also allow travel trailers and 5th wheels - I am very happy that he did! The grounds are beautifully maintained and the campground office is absolutely beautiful with very high ceilings and awesome fireplaces in the office area. There is a very nice workout room, pool, and playground. I would highly recommend this RV Resort.

After reading literature which had rated this campground very high and it being mentioned in Motorhome magazine, we were looking forward to checking out this campground. We were ultimately very disappointed by the time our departure date rolled around. The first pull-through site that they tried to place us in simply did not have enough clearance to pull my truck and 5th wheel into, the trees did not allow enough room to get through. They agreed to allow us to move to a pull-through with enough room for us to get in. Then the next morning, an employee of the park came knocking on our door telling us that we would have to move because she had another guest who had asked for the site we were on. When we arrived, lady in the office the night before told us to go to the site we were on. I told her that if I was forced to move, then I would just go ahead and check-out. She left and then returned saying that we could stay on the site we were on. Some of our family was staying in the apartment at the campground, when they went to bed - their bed fell on the floor, we were not able to find anyone from the campground to fix the problem. They had to go to a local hotel and spend the night. The sites were so close that our slideouts were only inches from touching our neighbors. The pull through section of the campground connects to the highway which runs in front of the campground making it dangerous for our children and the blind curve of that highway made it dangerous pulling out of our site. Campfires are not allowed and highway noise made our experience far from the relaxing retreat we had hoped for. Restrooms were not clean and the grounds were not well maintained. I would not recommend this campground and I am very shocked that it had received high ratings from industry publications.

We frequently visit the Pigeon Forge KOA and have had nothing but good experiences every time that we visit. The staff is friendly and eager to assist us with special requests. The grounds and facilities are very well maintained. The restrooms and showers are the cleanest that we have seen of all of the campgrounds we have visited. We will definitely continue to return to the Pigeon Forge KOA! The deluxe pull through sites are wonderful with added amenities such as a home like patio set of furniture, large concrete pads, chimneas, and a lamp post. It tends to be a little pricey but well worth the convenience and what you get for the money.

I have nothing but good things to say about Cherokee KOA. We booked a rally at this location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to any special requests that we had. The grounds and facilities were well maintained, restrooms were very clean. The campground store was well stocked. Cherokee KOA treated us very well and we will return again in 2007 for another rally there.
