StoneRidge Golf and Recreational Community, Blanchard, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely stunning campground in a beautiful location. Nice flowers throughout the complex. We have stayed here before and enjoyed the peace and quiet that this campground affords. If you love golf there is a course right on site. Love pickleball? They have six great courts. Lots of players to help you with your game. My husband and I love coming here. We have been full timing for almost 13 years and we enjoy this place more than any other. Absolutely the friendliest owners and renters we've ever encountered. Highly recommended. We camped at StoneRidge Golf and Recreational Community in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Try the excellent Bird museum about 30 minutes away in Sagle, Idaho. Also visit one of the very few inland submarine bases in US. Yup it's true. Would you believe there is a Nordstrom's department store this far north? Over in Spokane around 45 minutes from StoneRidge

McCall Campground and RV Park, McCall, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed here before and loved the area and the campground. We stayed this time on a site right on the river. Lovely. We found this campground initially using Big Rigs Best Bets book and we would certainly return to this campground again. We have a 45 foot motorhome and had plenty of elbow room. We highly recommend this spot. We camped at McCall Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The downtown area is cute, but the lake is awesome. Rent a boat or go fishing right in front of your riverside site. Good golf nearby. Check out the very close fire jumping and fire training center for Idaho (almost right next door).

StoneRidge Golf and Recreational Community, Blanchard, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

One of the very best places we've stayed in almost 11 years of traveling. Outstanding views in every direction. Very nice golf course and they have a bunch of brand new pickleball courts, too.

Nice pub and grill on site. Spacious layout of sites...large concrete pads with manicured grass in between. Wide streets. Best dog park of any RV park we've visited...and we don't even have a dog.

Excellent Verizon service. We camped at StoneRidge Golf and Recreational Community in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Coeur d'Alene and Spokane are easy drives for shopping, dining, and other entertainment. Priest Lake and Lake Pend Orielle are also worth a drive. Don't miss the Bird Museum in Sagle. Annie's Restaurant in Spirit Lake is a must for breakfast or lunch.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We have been full-timing for 10 years and have been to parks all over the country and Canada. Blackwell Island is a campground, not a resort. Normally resorts have certain amenities like swimming pools, spas, golf, tennis, pickleball, etc. Plus most resorts have paved or cement pads and not thin grass on gravel.

There is no swimming pool or spa, nor is there any shade. They do have nice bathrooms/showers, but we did not need to use either. There were lots of kids. The prices are high since there is not much competition in the immediate area. It does have a good location, on Lake Coeur d'Alene with a marina, where you can rent a boat. But, for my money, and better amenities, I would rather stay in Blanchard and have golf and pickleball on site. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lake Cruise on Lake Coeur d'Alene is worthwhile; Cedars Restaurant is also very good; Downtown is cute and interesting. Next time we'll try the new Timberline zip line. Syringa on 4th has excellent sushi!

We love the clean, well-maintained back-in sites with pavers and a little bistro table and chairs. Bend is a terrific destination with lots to do, and this park is a great place to unwind at the end of the day. We camped at Crown Villa RV Resort in a Motorhome.
