Lake Eufaula State Park, Checotah, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

The park us about 6 miles south on Hwy 150, off of I-40. We had site 93 in the Lake View Circle. We had a view of the lake in a pull thru site. Very nice, quiet. Roads were good. Site was concrete. Exactly what we like trees, water and comfortable site at a reasonable price. We had good water flow and electricity. We would return. We camped at Lake Eufaula State Park in a Motorhome.

Timberland Campground, Shelburne, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed three nights. We reserved a pull thru, but it was mostly sun - so we took a back-in site because it was spacious and shady. We liked this campground, very comfortable. We used the laundry which was clean and functioning. There is some road noise and one short train that comes by around 11 pm, but this is a good place to stay. We stayed in a 27' motor home with tow. We camped at Timberland Campground in a Motorhome.

Korn's Campgrounds, Middletown, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This was quite a drive from I84 and you think you are lost, but you eventually get there. The good side is that it is quiet. Our site was large and very comfortable. The management is contracted by the Town of Wallkill and the staff is young and inexperienced in management skills. They allowed a young couple to "blast" music from their car radio while they played basketball. They allowed another woman to go balistic and yell offensive words at another person for about 20 minutes without taking any measures to maintain a quiet atmosphere. The campground itself is very nice, but it could be improved. We stayed three nights in a 27' motor home with tow. We camped at Korn's Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Lake Champagne Campground, Randolph Center, Vermont

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice location and sites are spacious enough. The bottom tier is great when you don't have a neighbor (weekends). Good location to visit Woodstock and also Waterbury and Stowe. Quiet, good EWS. Would definitely stay here again. Staff is great! We reserved for three days and stayed for six days. We stayed in a 27' motor home. We camped at Lake Champagne Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Randolph is quite small, but we came to tour the surrounding areas and that worked beautifully for us.

Shipshewana Campground - South Park, Shipshewana, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Expensive for what you receive, but you are in a tourist town. The park is large with many "close" sights. We had a pull-through and our neighbo's sewer connection was right outside our door. We had EWS and WiFi was good. You are right in town, but it is very quiet at night. There are trees and grass. We stayed here three nights in a 28' motor home with tow. We camped at Shipshewana Campground - South Park in a Motorhome.

Big Rock Campground, Big Rock, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a young park, meaning the trees are not big enough to give shade yet. You drive in and find a space you are comfortable with and the attendant will stop by later to collect the fee and pertinent information. It is a large, clean park with a comfortable amount of room between sites. All of the sites are 50 amp, so we used an adapter - and we lost power a couple of times with the AC going most of the time during the first heat wave of 2016. There are pull thru and back in sites on gravel with grass between each site. We stayed three nights, very quiet and comfortable. The park has water and electric only. Dump stations on-site. We would stay again. It's a long ride from I-80. We stayed in a 28' motor home with a tow. We camped at Big Rock Campground in a Motorhome.

Amana Colonies RV Park, Amana, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very large park. We were there when it was sparsely populated. There is grass between each space and some trees. The pull through sites are very long, even the largest rig and tow can fit easily. Convenient location to visit the Amana Colonies. We had EWS which were good locations. WiFi did not work well. Laundry was reasonably priced and clean. We would stay again. Quiet. We stayed in a 28' motor home with tow. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a gravel parking lot with full hook-ups. There are some one-gallon trees planted at intervals. This is definitely a one-night stopover park, because of the location. The staff is very nice. Park is close to freeway, so you do hear the traffic. We stayed two nights to see the Flaming Gorge in a 28' motor home with tow. We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Motorhome.

AB Camping & RV Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights in our Class A 28' motorhome. It is an older park, very quiet and comfortable. The restrooms are clean as is the laundry room. Nice big trees and comfortable space between each unit. Definitely eat here! We did NOT have cable TV service - which they said they were going to have repaired. So if that is important to you, check first. We would stay here again. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

McCloud RV Resort, McCloud, California

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Nice looking park with grass and big trees. Some of the sites (#11) are very close to each other, which made us very uncomfortable. The next day the friendly staff had us look over the available sites in the park and we moved. Much better location (#125). We didn't buy an RV to sit on top of someone else, we bought it to get away to nature and enjoy the quiet. We had a back-in with EWS. We may return. We camped at McCloud RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice county park, spacious site locations that are asphalt. Some sites had a bit of a slant to them but no problem. Big trees with river nearby. We had a back in space with EWS. Very comfortable, we stayed three nights and would return. We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park that is a gem. Very nice, large spaces among the trees. We had electrical and water and a grey water drain. There is a dump site to use. Located across the bay from Cape Disappointment. We would return. We camped at River's End RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ginkgo Petrified Forest / Wanapum State Park, Vantage, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The price is high but this a truly an oasis in the desert. The sites were large with lots of room between units, EWS worked fine. No WiFi. We stayed three nights and loved it, we like to get away from urban life and relax. We had a nice view of the Columbia River. This park is quiet and away from everything. The weather was calm while we were there. We would return. We camped at Ginkgo Petrified Forest / Wanapum State Park in a Motorhome.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 5 nights in a "front in" space along the fence. The park is very large, the sites are adequate. Try to stay away from Marina street, the traffic is heavy and noisy there. EWS worked fine. No Wifi. We would try someplace else next time. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.
