Uncompahgre River RV Park (55+ park), Olathe, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nicest park in 48 states. Concrete pads and patio, nice wide grassed area between spaces and the cleanest laundry I've seen. Nice walking track, pond, asphalt roadway throughout. They like animals and don't mind you washing your RV. Good wifi.

We stayed a month and hated to leave, knowing we wouldn't find that quality again. $550. Per month. We camped at Uncompahgre River RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Grand junction is 50 miles with a great downtown. Great scenic drives. Olathe sweet sweet corn was being harvested. Follow a truck down 348 to where they are harvesting. Amazing harvester. Drive into Escalante canyon and to Crawford and needle rock. Antique shops along 65 and 92. Walmart 10 miles either way. Mennonites run 'the pantry' going into delta with good deli meat and bread.

Circle The Wagons RV Park , La Veta, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent campground. River is on one side of park. Clean, big cottonwood trees all over the park, wifi was off and on and a nice laundry. Movies on loan in the office. Second street is on the right coming in from 160, before you get to downtown. It is dirt and not wide, then turn right into the park. 31-41 are in the sun and are cheaper. $208. For week in#26. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great scenic drives! Our dog loved the rabbits running around the park. Deer just across the fence and they walk across the street downtown.

Riverview RV Park & Campground, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Dry dirt, lots of traffic with constant dust. Couldn't sit outside. No grass, just weeds even in the tent area. We had no sewage so we had to use showers which were large and clean but our ankles were dusty by the time I got back to the coach. Laundry is a closet with two feet between the stacked dryers on one side and the washing machine on the other. Had to wash the dog before leaving as the dust is so fine. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Golden Eagle Ranch RV Park & Campground, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

An extreme right turn up an instant incline when leaving the office. I only got the coach up before meeting a fifth wheel. My car was turned so I couldn't back up and he couldn't back UP the hill. I squeezed 2" from the cliff and metal posts on right and 5 wheel squeezed into the mountain on left.

Kid in office said I would have shade- no shade, terrible gullies all over the park, we were on the back row, hard to get to and much better accessible sites open during our stay. Tree stumps had a circle of weeds 6 feet across. Weeds everywhere. Had to push through tall weeds to find utilities. Electricity was on the right, way up front. We had to use the 30 amp extension to reach it. Had to reach through bushes to find water. No site markings, had to ask someone in the row what their number was. Make reservations in advance and stay in town. We camped at Golden Eagle Ranch RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
