We purchased our lot -#19- 2 years ago with intentions of renting it out in the winter. That lasted 1 winter as my husband decided, with no argument from me, to retire & move here full time. We love the park, the location and the people are like family whether you've been here 2 days, 2 weeks, or 2 months. The only downside is that the outdoor pool/waterpark is not yet finished through no fault of Buena Vista's, but when it is finished in a week or two it's going to be beautiful and best of all, it's for park use only! As for the Internet, that seems to be a problem when the park is full, but that is soon to be rremedied with a new Internet provider. And we mustn't forget the fenced in dog park! It has 2 sides, 1 for small and the other for larger dogs. Our little Yorkie loves to run around & play in there. We have an event center which has an indoor salt water pool, hot tub and gym with 24 hr access. I'm happy we purchased when we did because soon these lots will be gone and/or out of our price range! This is definitely worth the investment or just the price of a few nights stay especially with all the specials we have going on! We camped at Buena Vista Coastal RV Resort in a Motorhome.
There is beach access just across street but I prefer to drive 2 miles down the road to the Gulf State Park Pavilion where there is access to bathrooms and food. The front office will give you a pass to get in free.
