Twin Oaks RV Park & Campground, Elko, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely park located just east of I75. Some road noise, but not bad. The pull-thru sites are long and spacious. There is adequate shade but doesn't interfere with satellite. The office people are wonderful and helpful. The pool is very nice and clean. This was our second time to stay here and would definitely stay again if in the area. We camped at Twin Oaks RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Cozy C RV Campground, LLC, Bowling Green, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely small park just out of town with easy in and out. Very well maintained with great service. Long pull thru sites with well manicured landscaping. WiFi is iffy since they were having issues, but overall worth an overnight stop. We camped at Cozy C RV Campground, LLC in a Motorhome.

Jefferson County Park, Fairfield, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Love this little park! A few sites are big enough for big rigs and those are back-ins. Electrical and water. Well maintained by the Conservation Board. We could not get satellite due to the trees, but antenna worked. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Jefferson County Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Ahquabi State Park, Indianola, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The roads and sites are very tight and not conducive for big rigs. We moved four different times to get a semi-level site which still maxed out our leveling system. Difficult to get satellite. Park people were nice. We camped at Lake Ahquabi State Park in a Motorhome.

Dick's RV Park, Great Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park with some full-time residents. The back side is storage of RV's and equipment. The location is next to the major thoroughfare and pretty noisy. The laundry facilities are quite old, but functioned properly. The office staff are great and accommodating. Wi-fi is available; however doesn't work at the back side of the park, need to be close to the office to get it to connect. We camped at Dick's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dakota Ridge RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

This park is corporate owned and really needs some competition. For the price they command, one would think the park would be pristine, but not so much. The roads are in serious need of repaving and the sites are not much better. To their credit, a few of the sites had new concrete. The laundry list of rules was astonishing and not guest friendly. They would not even accept mail so we had to have mail delivered to a friends home in the area. We carry our motorcycle on a lift on the back of our coach, and were told if we take it off, it will be an additional $5.00 per day. Don't even think about having guests visit the park because they charge for the vehicle and each person too! Although it is convenient to highways, seriously not worth the price. We camped at Dakota Ridge RV Park in a Motorhome.

Merry D RV Sanctuary, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is very old with a lot of deferred maintenance. The front area is literally a junk yard with machinery, parts and a variety of old rusted out equipment. The north part has some wide open sites large enough for a big rig, the others are very small. Initially we had planned on staying a few weeks, but quickly changed our plans due to the conditions. Do not let their website fool you. And their rates are pretty high for a park with nothing. We camped at Merry D RV Sanctuary in a Motorhome.

Braunig Lake RV Resort, Elmendorf, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park three times over the past year and love it! The office and park staff are the most friendly and helpful people! They host meals on weekends (that are so yummy!) and hosted a great Super Bowl party. It's super easy to get there from I37 and back on. Yes, the park a bit older and could use some upgrades with regard to the roads, but a great place. We will definitely be going back And they do not limit the nights that Passport America can be used. There is a pizza place across the road (Mama Judys Pizza) that is awesome! We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Voyager Resort & RV Park (55+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

What is up with these parks that market themselves as big rig friendly? The sites are very narrow with absolutely no patio area. Very expensive and very restrictive. Wearing a badge to be allowed to move around the park? Even to purchase items at the market? Yes, they have a lot of activities and it is in good repair, but entirely overrated when it comes to value. We camped at Voyager Resort & RV Park (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West, Goodyear, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is an old park, not a resort. There some major upgrades needed including road improvements, space improvements to include parking. Not big rig friendly at all. . . . No parking for towed cars. The only amenities are a pool, laundry and what they consider an exercise facility which is really a small room with a few machines. It's an okay place for a day or two stay, but not long term. We camped at Destiny RV Resort / Phoenix West in a Motorhome.

Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very well maintained and clean. The sites are a bit cramped for big rigs and the wi-fi is spotty. Unfortunately we got placed near the entrance of the park, so it was a bit noisy in the mornings as other we're leaving. Also we were placed right next to the propane filling station and it smelled gassy. Love the shuttle bus to the casino across the highway. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park), Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Please do not be fooled. This is not a resort by any stretch. It is an older mobile home park that has been modified to accommodate RVs. The road noise is deafening and although they try, the facilities are very limited due to the age. On the positive side, the park is maintained well and most of the staff is friendly. Return? Probably not. Some what expensive for the amentities. We camped at Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.
