About Train Fan

I am a retired airline maintenance technician (AMT). My wife and I began our RVing in 2013 with the purchase of a Winnebago View. We have made several travels, mostly in the central plains. I am a railroad buff, so much of our travels pull us to much to do with trains, both operational and museums.

Mountain View RV Park, Mountain View, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

I couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The site was perfect for parking my Winnebago. All hook ups good. The gravel driveways are well maintained. Pickin' Shed made it a friendly place to share mountain music as well as food. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pay for two weeks that includes the whole month. The price stated was the average, daily rate for a weeks stay. Well worth the price. We will return. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Green Tree RV Park, Siloam Springs, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a part of the Super 8 motel, located very close to almost any shopping needs. We found fairly level gravel sites. Full hook ups in fairly trashy sites. Must acquire a key for a $10 deposit from the motel front office to use the laundry or shower room. Very good wifi. A good close in park, if a little too pricey at $35 a night.

The Motel amenities: breakfast or ice, is not available to RV travelers. We camped at Green Tree RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bushman's RV Park AKA Bushman's Camp, Bullard, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is the third time to stay here. We stayed six nights and found that nothing could have been better. The site is very close to town making trips for groceries and fuel handy. Sites are concrete with good, full 50A hook ups: You will need a 50 to 30 adapter if you use 30A. Highway traffic noise is almost unnoticeable. Courteous and helpful staff. We camped at Bushman's RV Park AKA Bushman's Camp in a Motorhome.
