Lake Chelan State Park, Chelan, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second year camping here and always had great experience. This time we picked a "lake site" and it was super pretty. Very private came with a parking spot, close to the lake, fire pit and bench and jasmine trees all around. The restrooms were very clean and taken care of by the state park employees. The price was always reasonable, but book in advance! Did not use shower myself, but looked clean as well. Easy access to Chelan town. Will return again! We camped at Lake Chelan State Park in a Tent.

Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground, Joshua Tree, California

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

I had a great experience when camping here event though it was just for one night. The large grounds were very pretty with green areas. The staff was very friendly. However we had strong wind and camping was not advised, so I was forced to sleep in my car as many other campers. The restroom was clean. Did not use shower though. The price was reasonable. The only downsize was that this campground was about 9 miles away from the entrance to the Joshua Tree national park seemingly in the middle of nowhere. 9 miles was too far for me to commute daily, so decided to stay only one night. We camped at Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground in a Tent.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived few minutes after 10pm when they were closing the office. But they were very nice and checked us in. We got a small lovely tent site in a beautiful area. Have no complaints. Showers were clean and the same toilets. Lots of people, yet you got some privacy. Highly recommend this welcoming place! We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Tent.

Slickrock Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here because had no other choice for two nights (all the campgrounds in Moab were walk-ins and full) when visiting Canyonlands and Arches in June 2015. Had a small tent and all we needed was to get some sleep and definitely shower off the dust and sand from Arches. This was the worst place I have ever stayed at in my entire life! Ironically there was a sign in front of the showers "If this facility is not stocked or needs cleaning please let us know at the office". The showers were disgusting. It was not yesterday's dirt, but probably all the filth from the previous season. There were no paper towels and few toilet paper rolls in some stalls. Unwillingly paid $34 for our tent site for one night - what a rip off. Spoke up about the nasty showers and was told that their housekeeper was going to clean them. The other night at midnight after one hour hunt of a campsite we could not find a place to stay so we ended up at Slickrock again. I wondered if they cleaned the showers. I found out the next morning that they had not. Women in the office started arguing and yelling with me that the showers were cleaned yesterday morning. Poor management, absolutely no customer service skills, lying and charging high fees for sleeping on the ground. Plus health risk facility. My advice: sleep in your car for free if Slickrock is the only choice you have left. We camped at Slickrock Campground in a Tent.
