We were a bit hesitant to visit this park as a result of a previous visitor's review. I made the decision to go ahead and visit the park because I felt that the previous review was just too "wild" to be accurate. My hunch was correct. There was a small ditch a few inches deep washed out on one side of the site access road, but nothing that would not be easily crossed by a motorhome or combination RV. Some daytime as well as some nighttime training exercises took place during our 3 day stay. Some artillery and machine gun noise was heard, not felt (this should be expected in close proximity to a military training base.) One also must realize that, as the name indicates, this is as much a hunting lodge as a resort campground. All in all, the people at the park were very helpful, courteous and friendly, the grounds were reasonably maintained, and we had a nice stay and will not hesitate to camp there again if travels take us back to that area. Internet access would have been nice, but it was made clear prior to making reservations that access was not available. We camped at Deer Run Lakes Hunting & Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
