Date of Stay:

My husband, daughter and I stayed at Midway for a few days before the 4th of July. We have 3 poodles that camp with us also. This CG is in very good condition. The staff was great and very courteous. We actually stayed here twice. One of our stays was lake front and our site had a deck and we had no problems leveling our travel trailer. The pool is one of the nicest ones I have ever seen in a CG. The mini golf is a bit run down, not sure how well it plays, we didn't do any of the activities, except swimming. If you are located at the bottom of the hill, do watch out for snakes. We saw snakes on each of trips there. Be sure to walk around the road and not cut up the hill. All in all we would stay there again! We had a great time!

This CG was very nice. Very clean, probably the cleanest we have ever been to. The pool wasn't open when we were there but it looked ok. They absolutely had the cleanest bath house we have ever seen. We stopped in while we walked to look at everything even though we rarely use a bath house. Our camper has a bathroom and shower. The staff wasn't super friendly but they weren't rude either. Nice place to walk our dogs and even the permanent people were friendly. Not much of a pier to fish off of but it was nice standing on it looking out at the lake. We would stay here again by all means!

My husband and I and our 3 dogs stayed here with our neighbors who have 3 boys and 2 dogs. All small dogs: poodles. The campground itself is nice. The roads are a bit washed out but the sites are ok. Our only real problem was the "Handy Camper." He was not a dog fan and if he heard the least little bark he came to our friends site and told them about it. He wasn't a kid fan either and he stayed on their kids the whole 3 days they were here. Now kids will be kids, but he wouldn't let up on those 3 boys and we were all with them the whole time. The pool says heated but trust me: IT ISN'T! We didn't have a fire ring at our site but that was ok since we could go to our friends site. Had we been alone, it wouldn't have been too good! All in all we would probably go back again if we knew the "Handy Camper" had moved on to another campground. He did not need to be working in a "family" friendly campground.
