Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We were robbed at the campground, so no matter how reasonable it is and how good the amenities were, our stay was disastrous. It is located in a seedy area of town. On the drive to this location there are many homeless living on the street. There is no gate or security provided. I would NOT STAY there again. WIFI was not existent. There is a gated campground right next door. We will try that one next. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town in a Fifth Wheel.

Oak Glen RV & Mobile Home Park, Chandler, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Just an overnight with late check in. Excellent for what we needed. FHU, level, concrete, lots of space. Very easy to navigate. Pretty trees, but they do not interfere with maneuverability or ability to pop out slides ( tree limbs will not hit your roof ). They answered the phone right away and were very, very easy to deal with. Right off the road but you do not hear any traffic noise. Very quiet. There are a few full timers. We did not see many people around. Definitely would stay here again. 1st 2 roads on the left once you pull into the park are for pull thru. We camped at Oak Glen RV & Mobile Home Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pheasant Acres RV Park, Saint James, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The owner is an absolute doll and the folks that are long term in the campground are some of the nicest folks we have come across. We were here for one night and it was absolutely perfect for us. The hook ups were fine. The owner is very accommodating. She has some very cute bunnies on site and the property is very cute. We would definitely stay here again. The sites are gravel and level. There are lots of large, beautiful trees, trimmed back so that they do not touch the campers. We camped at Pheasant Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are not experienced driving a big rig, go slow. The sites are not the easiest to navigate but defiantly doable and once you are docked, it is worth the effort.

Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park, Belleville, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to find, roads with the park are good, hook ups are good. The fairgrounds are beautifully decorated with flowers and maintained extremely nicely. The sites were level and easy to pull thru. Close to neighbors but people were very friendly. It was quiet and we would definitely come to this campground again. Wifi was good. They have a beautiful vegetable garden and you are welcome to pick whatever you want. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Less than 30 minutes to the Ford Museum. Plan a minimum of a full day if not 2 days to see it all. Can walk to Walmart and there are plenty of fast food places close by.

Rocky Springs Campground, Mercer, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

This is by far, the BEST campground we have ever stayed at. It is absolutely beautiful. In the woods, large, gorgeous trees all around. It was meticulous. There were many full timers there and ALL of them had gorgeous set ups. Everything was immaculate and well cared for. You can tell that the owners of the campground and the residents take a lot of pride in their site. There were play grounds and a pool and everything looked brand new. It was easy to get to, easy to navigate, perfect amount of space, excellent hook ups, people were very friendly, very quiet and very beautiful. If I could give it 11 stars, I would. We camped at Rocky Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Downtown Riverside RV Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Really easy to find and pull in. Staff was excellent in providing details on how to get into the park, we arrived very late. Largest pull thru we have ever been it, very, very easy. Very quite. It is along the river and has some nice benches along the water. Sites are neat. Security gate which is nice. Situated by the bridges to the Clinton Library. The bridges are lit up in rainbow colors at night and are really beautiful. We would definitely stay there again. We were there for just an overnight stop. No trees, small gravel spots between sites, ok for us!! We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Del-Raton RV Park, Delray Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a parking lot wedged between a car dealer and another commercial business. It is right next to train tracks ands the train runs all night, blows the whistle as it's going by. We could see the train from our camper window and we were not in the space closest to the train. These folks are a royal PITA. They talk to you like you are a 3 year old. Their rules about pets are crazy strict. I don't need to be told 100 times to pick up after my pet and not to walk my pet through the "park" (-ing lot). They really should not allow pets at all as they are VERY intolerant. The people who stay in the park are very nice but the owners are another story. I have relatives in the area that wanted to stop by for a few minutes to see our trailer and the owners make it very difficult to have a visitor. My relative is handicapped and they have a handicapped spot and would not let them use it. There are plenty of empty visitors spots but they act like it's a BIG PROBLEM to use one. They charged for parking an extra vehicle and were very rigid about it (even though I was paying for it). I would not stay here again if I had another option. They store cars and trailers and they are all over the place. It is very cramped and not really kept up very well. Weeds that produce burrs everywhere so if you have a furry friend that you love, be careful, my pup's paws got full of burrs. The owners parked one of their 6 golf carts right behind our spot so every time I pulled out my car I had to navigate to be sure not to hit it. Neighborhood Walmart across the street. They do refill propane tanks. Way too expensive for what you get. We camped at Del-Raton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

John Prince Park Campground, Palm Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent campground. Very well laid out. Roads were very easy to navigate. The park is absolutely beautiful. Lots of wild life around (ducks, lizards, etc - very fun to watch). The trees are beautiful. We could see the water from our site. Lots of space for our tow vehicle and an extra vehicle that we had. Security gate with code. Playgrounds, large screened in area with many picnic tables and electrical outlets (we sat their and worked on our computers). We were right next to the internet, and it worked very well. Easy hook ups. Plenty of room for outdoor set up. We will definitely stay here again. Close to highway 95, did not hear any traffic. Next to an airport but did not hear any planes in the evening or at night. Very quiet...nice pet area next to the water. We camped at John Prince Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you want a water side site, book ahead. They are usually full on the weekends. Swarms of tiny knats, bring outdoor fogger, bug zapper and bug spray. The good far outweighs the knats.... Area for tent camping, very nice. Large fire pits for groups.

Avalon Landing RV Park, Milton, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this park. We only stayed one night. The park is pristine and beautiful. Site was level, gravel and we were right on the water next to the boat ramp. It was very quiet. It was very easy to make a reservation and we immediately received a text message with a confirmation, directions, site # and the managers personal phone number in case we needed anything. We arrived very late and it was dark but we had no issue. Hook ups were well maintained and easy to use. We would definitely stay here again. It is too bad that we only stayed one night. We camped at Avalon Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
