Roadrunner RV Resort, Red River, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I think calling this a resort as it is now is a push, BUT it is one of the nicest campgrounds we have ever stayed in. By far it is the nicest park in the area.
We were at the east end of the park on the river. Listening to that bubbling river is so calming it is hard to describe, the drawback is the permanent houses on the north side of the river. No one was home so it didn't take away peacefulness of those sites. No pool, no spa but a campfire and a river surrounded by pine trees Is what "camping" is all about for use. The only negative was in 5 days we never had a useable wifi signal. They said it was the internet company but they had signal at the office. Not sure who was to blame, but we lived. Would certainly go back again and recommend it to all. We camped at Roadrunner RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Los Banos West / I-5 KOA , Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is obviously an older park. Power was good and the Wi-Fi worked great. Permanent residents seem to be mostly on the southeast part of the park and we were on the northwest near the pool . A lot of updating has gone on here but it is not perfect. Staff was great and we would certainly stay here again. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Monroe Creek Campground & RV Park, Weiser, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I am basing my rating on the camp space only. Wide spaces bordered by cement curbing. Grass between spaces with a cement sidewalk that is about 50 ft long leading to a picnic table. Nice touch as you don't have to walk through grass to reach the table for morning coffee. Wi-Fi showed a weak signal but it was fast and we had no issues. Cable TV provided, although not a big selection of channels. Downside is they only have about 5 or 6 full hookup spaces, as the rest are permanents. We carry water in the tank when we travel so we were not subjected to that sulfur smelling water. Park could use a little care but the new owners have been there less than a year. We would stop here again. We camped at Monroe Creek Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bear Den RV Resort , Grangeville, Idaho

Great park on the highway. Super friendly staff, sites were long and level. Laundry room was immaculate but not huge, 3 washers and 3 dryers. Wi-Fi didn't have a lot of bars but it was fast and never had an issue. Would certainly stay here again. We camped at Bear Den RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Butte KOA, Butte, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty typical of an older park. Relatively narrow spaces. We had a huge old tree on our site that the step lined up with so you had the step on the exposed roots to get in your door. Water pressure was good and we had no trouble with the WiFi. It worked well and was relatively fast. Great location to see old "uptown" Butte. Cable TV would be nice. Staff was very friendly and we were very impressed with the onsite fried chicken store. We camped at Butte KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Beaver KOA, Beaver, Utah

Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Friendly staff. We were in space 9 plenty of space, no need to unhook and perfectly level. We are near a road so kind of noisy but not a problem for us. Expanded selection of channels on the TV cable.Very neat and clean park. Internet was a little weak but they have 2 access points and the other one worked fine. We camped at Beaver KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Sun Resorts RV Park, Mesquite, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly and helpful young man at check in. Pull through held our truck and 33 ft 5th wheel. Wi-fi worked good and great cable. It was handy to have Smiths next door and also a Dominos Pizza. Would be nice to see the trees get bigger and supply a little shade. Considering the choices we would certainly stay here again. We camped at Sun Resorts RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fillmore KOA, Fillmore, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Super friendly staff. It's off the main road about a 1/4 mile so no road noise and no railroad tracks. The grounds were very well groomed. Laundry had 4 washers and 4 dryers all very clean as was the room itself. No cable but a good selection of over the air choices. Utilities are about mid way on the site, so we needed a second water and electric cords. Terrific wi-fi and free. Like all KOAs, a little on the pricey side, but they are the only game in town. We would certainly stay here again. We camped at Fillmore KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Phillips RV Park, Evanston, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The lady at check in was quite unfriendly. She seemed a little miffed that we didn't have reservations. Gave us a pull through that held the truck and a 33 ft 5th wheel, and the spot was pretty level. We were next to a permanent that could have used some TLC, and the lawns in the last row that we were in needed some attention. There are train tracks very close that can get a little loud. We have stayed here before and maybe will again because they are the only game in town. We camped at Phillips RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Coleville/Walker KOA (formerly Meadowcliff Lodge & RV Resort), Coleville, California

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here a couple of years ago when it was pretty new and was pleasantly surprised that it still looks the same way. We were in a back in that held both the truck and our 33 ft 5th wheel. Nice not having to unhook. The office staff was really friendly and nice to deal with. Because this park is right on 395 there is a little road noise, but it didn't bother us either time we were here. Good cable and strong free wi-fi. I would certainly stay here again and recommend it to others. We camped at Coleville/Walker KOA (formerly Meadowcliff Lodge & RV Resort) in a Fifth Wheel.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great overnight stop or as an extended stay as I use it, have family in the area. I was close to the office but my Wi-Fi worked fantastic, I would be on the 5 or 6 hours at a time and no issues at all. Laundry room was spotless and had front load machines, thirty five minutes to wash and less then forty five minutes to dry. Also really enjoy have a nice picnic table to sit at. I had planned on staying a week but unexpectedly had to stay two and a half weeks, but it was on a daily basis because I didn't know how long I would be there. The office staff bent over backwards to arrange things so I wouldn't have to change spaces. My hat goes off to the manager and the entire staff that work in the office. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Have to agree with the previous two posters, but would add our spot was C11 and it wasn't much more unlevel than most places. There are lots of trees and we saw elk wander through on two mornings. . Bus pick-up was a couple hundred feet from our site and you can connect with four other routes that take you almost anywhere in the park for free. We would certainly recommend this park to anyone. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground. Agreed with positive comments from previous posters. We were in space six and on first pull through. I was level front to back and side to side! We were only staying one night and I didn't even have to unhook. At sign in the office offered a buy one get half off coupon for the buffet at the Iron Skillet at the Petro. That's hardly a 5 minute walk. It does not have a pool but with all the shade trees it would be a nice place to be for a couple of days. We camped at Blake Ranch RV Park & Horse Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $30.00

This is truly a great park. We have stayed here 4 times in the last 2 years and have never been disappointed. Grounds are always immaculate. Around 80 channels on the cable and free wi-fi that has always worked great. In the past year they put new tables at every site, a real nice plus. The only negative is some of the sites could use some side to side leveling. I certainly would recommend this park to anyone. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Desert Gardens RV Park (55+ park), Florence, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night. No pull throughs, but plenty of room for backing in. Guess the snowbird season is over because the park was almost empty. Good water pressure and power, no cable TV, and I had a little trouble with the WiFi. Not much here, but it seemed kept up. Quite a few weeds about, but I was told they had just sprayed for them. Not a lot of choices in the area. We would stay again. We camped at Desert Gardens RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.
