Briarcliffe RV Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Our favorite place to stay in Myrtle Beach! Although you are not staying directly on the beach, your RV will stay clean and you can keep your awning out for months at a time! We stay at Briarcliffe each summer! You can walk to several restaurants and shops. It is next door to Barefoot Landing! We will be back next summer! We camped at Briarcliffe RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bay Bayou RV Resort, Tampa, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I stayed at this park from August 29th through October 1st, as we were looking for homes to buy in the area. This campground does not have the water view like the website advertises. Because it sits next to a bayou, there are LOTS of mosquitoes that will bite you even if you are wearing bug spray. It was so bad, that we could not go outside to grill out or use the swimming pool. People who camp here are miserable and unhappy. This was evident because most people were very unfriendly. Because the rates are very cheap during this time of year, there are lots of undesirable people in this park. My wife did not feel safe camping here! Our bikes were stolen one week after arriving and I caught someone attempting to steal my grill during our last week! Watch out for charges on your credit card too! Two weeks after leaving this park, the park manager slapped a $216 electric charge on my card for one month of service! I don't even pay that much for electric for my house! Stay away from Bay Bayou RV Resort! We camped at Bay Bayou RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Myrtle Beach Travel Park, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2009 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

This used to be the best campground in Myrtle Beach. I don't know what happened to them! This is the "bad" part of the beach! The bath houses were filthy and always had teenagers smoking in them! The WI-FI internet never worked, and they do not give refunds! People shoot fireworks from their campsite as they drink and smoke in the middle of the night! Loose dogs walk around the campground at all times. The food sold at the store is overpriced and expired. The lifeguards at the swimming pool and lazy river are meaner than Hugo Chavez! Weird men walk around the campground at night staring at teenage girls. I'm glad that I brought my gun! We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Myakka River State Park, Sarasota, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first experience at Myakka River State Park and it will be our last. The campsites are very dirty and are extremely close together. We heard our neighbors snoring. The people who camp in this park are very rude. They are not your typical friendly campers. The showers and bathrooms do not get cleaned until 1:00. A morning shower will require you to shower in the dirt and filth from the night before. We will never come back! We camped at Myakka River State Park in a Tent Trailer.

San Carlos RV Park & Island Resort, Fort Myers Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2007 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

What a dump! The smell of fish can be smelled all over the campground! The campsites along the water are so small that our tent trailer barely fit on them! If you have a large RV, find another place to stay. The seasonal residents who are there are very unfriendly. They do not even wave to you when you walk by them. $55 dollars per night is a rip off! They do not allow campfires. It is against Lee county law! We will never come back to this place! We camped at San Carlos RV Park & Island Resort in a Tent Trailer.

This is one of the best campgrounds in Florida! They have very large level campsites, beautiful views of the lake, and friendly people. The restrooms and showers are very modern and clean. Myrtle Beach Travel Park, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the finest campground that we have ever stayed at. My family and I have been coming here for 20 years. The bathrooms and showers do not rival campgrounds, they rival expensive hotels! They have a gorgeous pool and a lazy river. The staff is very friendly and this place has an awesome atmosphere! We will come her for another 20 years! We camped at Myrtle Beach Travel Park in a Tent Trailer.
