Two Rivers Landing RV Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We just can't say enough good things about this RV Resort. Our rate was $65 per night, but we got a Good Sam discount, plus a free night because we stayed a week, so our per night charge was less. We loved that it was small (about 55 sites), we felt close to everything in the more "touristy" areas, but far enough away that we didn't get tangled up in the traffic in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, unless we wanted to. The sites were a good size, good bushes between each site for some privacy, and the riverfront. The site we had was perfect. Satellite friendly. On the opposite bank of the river, each morning and late afternoon, we would see deer, turkeys, ducks and a nesting pair of bald eagles. Bathrooms were immaculate, office staff was friendly and helpful, and the grounds were well-kept. We had to leave a couple of days early due to a family emergency, but we will go back as soon as we can. We can't recommend this location enough. We wished they had monthly rates because we would sign up for the summer right now. You can't go wrong at Two Rivers, and we're picky! (Make sure you ask staff for directions on making a left turn on Winfield Dunn Parkway, when leaving the park. There is a back way to get to a traffic light.) We camped at Two Rivers Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss Tony Gore's Smoky Mountain BBQ and Grill, just a mile and a half from Two Rivers. Great food, and the cakes...wow! There is a Coleman Outlet store, almost within walking distance from the park. But, you will want to drive so you can shop A LOT! Across from Coleman is Smoky Mountain Knife Works. It is huge, has much more than just knives, and a small food truck that serves lunch (hot dogs, BBQ, etc).

Kentucky Horse Park Campground, Lexington, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We were passing through, so we didn't take advantage of any of the amenities. Someone had parked on the site we reserved, so they told us others that were available. I used our toad to check them out and chose one. A staff member helped get us in the spot. The camp store was well stocked and we bought firewood there to use with the fire ring on the site. No sewer, but dump station was very convenient at the exit. Distance between sites was adequate, area has a lot of trees, but satellite worked fine. We camped at Kentucky Horse Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Great RV park. Beautiful scenery. All facilities very clean. Large paved sites. No cable. Wireless internet was strong. Satellite had no issues. A lot of open area to walk dogs. Very helpful staff. Free spa services included massage chairs, sauna, steam room, excellent exercise equipment. Luxurious and clean showers. There is a pool (closed for the season) and hot tub. Very quiet. Friendly people. Clean, well-kept park that is growing. Lots for sale or rent. You won't go wrong staying here. We will visit as often as we can. We camped at Crossing Creeks RV Resort (formerly Mountain View RV Resort) in a Motorhome.
