Carson Valley RV Resort, Minden, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

My first review of this park. This web site is usually dead on but not this time. We had a back-in at the rear of the park. Very, very tight. Just a blacktop parking lot. The proverbial pass the Poupon with your neighbor. Slides very close to neighbor. Other sites may be OK but we could not wait to get out of there. Terrific park ten miles down the road. If you want easy access to a casino it might be the place for you. Did not go to casino. Would not go back. We camped at Carson Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

New Frontier RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed the one night. We would have stayed more but had a reservation the next day. The park had over 130 sites. There was maybe 30 of us. We were in row H #63. The closest campers were in 61 and 70. We had no one in front of us or behind us. The sites are gravel. We had no problem getting in our site. Very easy check in. We did not use the bathrooms or showers. We would stay here again. We camped in a 39ft 5th wheel. We camped at New Frontier RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Travelers World RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Camped 2nights in a 39foot 5W. This is a very nice campground. It was a very questionable drive through town to get there but turn out OK. Very close to everything. Staff is very nice. We would recommend eating at Pappadeaux's Seafood. Little pricey but so worth it. We have eaten at 3 different one in Texas. I search them out so we can eat there. We would stay here again. We camped at Travelers World RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Carlsbad KOA, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in a 39 foot 5W. The pull through site was big enough for the RV. We had to park our truck across in front but not a problem. We stayed 2 nights. Never got on the WiFi. Our Cable TV was not much the first night and we lost our cable all together the 2nd night. The campground itself is really nice. You are are in the middle of nowhere. 20 miles from town but worth it. Staff is very nice. The owner smokes his own meats for dinners every night here. You can eat in the clubhouse, pick it up, or they will deliver it. It's very good. A must is the Carlsbad Caverns and Sitting Bull Falls. The office will give you direction. The Caverns are about 40 miles but worth the drive and the falls are about 32 miles away. Again worth the drive. Sites are gravel with a small concrete pad, fire pit, some have grills and swings. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Schulenburg RV Park, Schulenburg, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night. We damped in a 39 foot 5W. We had a pull through with plenty of room. We were just passing through. This was a cute little campground. Very quite and the staff was great. There are several places to eat right across the street. Cable and WiFi worked great. We would stay here again. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cajun Palms RV Resort, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped for one night on our way to another destination. It was a little pricey. It's the big campground we have stayed at. We hit it on a weekend. By the time we checked the campground was pretty full. It has over 300 sites which should tell you how many people were there. It's not a place to get R & R. It mainly geared toward children. It has 3 pools, water slide, Tiki bar, putt putt, food place, and a little theater for the kids I think you get the picture. The site were a good size and we were on the pond. We called ahead and was told we didn't need to make a reservation. I'm not sure I would trust that again. There were very few spots left. Everyone had a gulf cart that they used and there were a lot of them. Not sure I would stay there again unless kids are in school and it's during the week. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cedar Key RV Resort, Cedar Key, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stay 2 nights. A fellow camper from another RV Resort recommended it. The staff is very nice. We got there after hours and the park was maybe 1/2 full. Someone met us at the office and just told us we could look around and pick the site we wanted. They even offered their golf cart to use. The park is not big. We picked site 48. It was on the end, had shade, and no one was really close to us. The sites are big, concrete, and plenty of room for our rig and vehicle. You are about 12 miles off the beaten path and 7 miles or so from town. We may stay there again. It's would depend on timing since it is off the beaten path. We camped at Cedar Key RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The town was very busy. We got there around 2 and couldn't find a parking place. We ended up going back to the RV and going back down at around 4. It's a cute little town. We had dinner at the newest restaurant. It was called 93 West or something like that. We waited a long time for our food. It was cold and not very good.

Emerald Beach RV Park, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

The park is small and when we first got here I wasn't sure about it. We originally were going to stay 1-2 nights. We ended up staying 7. We were trying to get on the other side of Texas and they were having flooding. We had site 60 for 5 days and site 63 for 2 nights. Sites are concrete with a gravel parking area for your vehicle. Sites are close but not bad. We had water view. We were maybe 100 yards to the beach and the Santa Rosa Sound. The beach is small. Its their private beach. It's about 50 x 10 yards. It has white sand and chaise lounges. Small pool but nice. You are on the main road but we were far enough away that we did not hear the road noise. The people here (staff and campers) were very nice. We would stay here again. We may be staying here on our way back to Naples. We camped at Emerald Beach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much to see over the bridge at Navarre Beach. We did go to the National Navy Aviation Museum. That was all free and pretty cool. The best place to eat in our opinion is East River Smokehouse BBQ.

Wilmington KOA, Wilmington, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground. It was very clean and well maintained. I really liked the escort service. When you arrive, a staff member in a golf cart shows you to your site. This person also helps guide you into your site. The only downside for us was a lot of local traffic. Had a hard time getting on internet. This park was a little pricey. We camped at Wilmington KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort, Hardeeville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 6 nights. The staff here is great. We had a tire blowout on our way to the RV park. We had a lot of damage to our RV and could not get to the RV park that night. The staff saved us a space until we could get there. We arrived late the next day. We originally had site 42 (lakeside), but after coming in late the next day we were put in site 59 (non lakeside). We stayed there 1 night and a better site came available. The staff was very accommodating and we were able to get site 31 (lakeside). This is an awesome site. We were only going to stay 2 night, but ended up staying 6. We love it there. Very clean! Awesome staff, and good price. We would definitely stay there again and again. The only bad thing about the RV park was the internet. It's really slow and most times not all all. We ended up having to use our cell phones as our hotspot for the internet. We camped at Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
