Moss Landing KOA Express, Moss Landing, California

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

This was a tight space, but comfortable park across a fence from the harbor. 25-30 miles to Santa Cruz or Monterey for a wide variety of shops and restaurants. I would definitely consider this park again because of its close vicinity to the Monterey and Santa Cruz area. We camped at Moss Landing KOA Express in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We took Elkhart Slough Safari, a short trip to see the Otters and other wildlife. The owner of the boat was very knowledgable about the area, and made the trip very enjoyable.

We enjoy the Sand Bar and Grill for lunch or dinner, which is right on the harbor as you come into Monterey.

Elks Lodge #901 (Elks only), Petaluma, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is probably our 4th stay at Petaluma Elks, and we would not consider any other park in this area. Park manager is very attentive and goes out of her way to make you comfortable and enhance your stay. There are very few trees, but there is a nice grassy area behind some sites. Lodge is friendly and there are many activities available. Local attractions include cheese and wine outlets and the famous Petaluma Creamery for wonderful ice cream. Close to freeway for visits to Healdsburg, Sebastopol, Sonoma and other quaint towns. We camped at Elks Lodge #901 (Elks only) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cucina Paradiso Italian dinner house downtown Petaluma serves a wonderful lunch or dinner in a nice atmosphere.

Be sure to try the Petaluma Creamery for the best ice cream in the area plus specialty cheeses.
