Waterwheel RV Park, Chiloquin, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

After reading the most recent review I felt it was excellent. I would only add that the spaces were very very tight. Our neighbor had a campfire one night and we were a bit afraid they might be a little too close to our tow vehicle. We had to close all of our windows due to the smoke from the campfire. We stayed in site number 6. We camped at Waterwheel RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fish Creek Campground (NPS Campground), Glacier National Park, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights in our 30 foot fifth wheel. Lots of shade in fact a little too much since we like using solar to recharge batteries. A lot of site would accommodate bigger rigs but a word of caution be very careful when selecting off the web site. Review as many pictures as you can. Our site was a 35 foot pull through but is curved sharply to the left making it a little difficult to park our coach so we could deploy the main slide. A bunch of gee jawing and we got it. The folks who take care of the campground are awesome and I believe if you had issues with your selected site they could help you out.Don't forget to fill your water tank. Some sites have water close but you will need a water thief. Dump station just outside the entrance. We would stay here again for sure. We camped at Fish Creek Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $71.00
Overall Rating:

The park is extremely well kept. In fact to an extreme. Staff are very nice and pleasant. Great location, close to town but not to close. Big enough that if your planning a last minute need to reserve they seem to be able to accommodate you. There are lots of rules so you will want to pay attention when checking in. Lawn sprinklers seem to be a problem for them so if you break one its $50.00. WIFI is pretty much useless if your in the back of the park, typical though. My reason for an 8 is we think the value does not match the price they ask. It feels as if they are charging to much. We have stayed in parks of equal or better and have paid less. Of course it is next to Americas first National Park so I guess the owners can just about charge anything they want. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Escalante Petrified Forest State Park, Escalante, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed her 4 nights in our 31 foot 5th wheel. We stayed in the "Lake" loop which had 50 amp service. The campground is clean and is well maintained but I have to say the sites in the Lake loop could use some leveling. Since that's probably not going to happen bring a lot of lego pads or invest in an auto leveling system. Site C was 5 inches off. The sites are somewhat poorly laid out where as the water and power are on the wrong side if one wishes to use the picnic table, fire pit, etc. Our overall length is 46 feet and we found it easy to navigate the loops. We did enjoy our stay. We camped at Escalante Petrified Forest State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lots of great hikes in the area, Lower Calf Creek Falls is very nice. The hike within the park to see Petrified Wood is nice too. Bring lots of leveling blocks!

Chloride Western RV Park, Chloride, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a pretty small resort mostly permanent residents. If you're lucky as we were you'll get one of the few sites available. This is a very clean park the owner and manager do a super good job keeping things clean and raked. The manager is very helpful and will stay with you until you are leveled out and all hooked up. He is quite funny too. The rate is a flat rate and they like cash only. The resort is much easier to find then what a few people have said. it is simply 3 miles up the road off the main highway. The sites are somewhat small but for a quick overnight they were fine for us. We camped at Chloride Western RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Eagle View RV Resort, Fort Mcdowell, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This been one of the best parks we have stayed in. All sites are back-in. The only negatives comments we would make would be the same as a few of the other reviewers. Showers are just that, showers only, no mirrors, sink, etc. Poor design. There is very little shade throughout the park, some but not much. Do your research, use Google Earth and the parks nice map to reserve a spot. If its available they will work with you. WiFi was very good for us, we stayed in site 120. I think they provide the best service they can. They do offer "wired" internet and some sites, ask before reserving. You may need to bring your own router. There are a lot of rules for this park and Security is very high. The resort is on Indian land so the rules are strict. The Verde River is not visible from any of the sites. Doesn't really matter though since there is a rule for that and it is you cannot touch it. Look but don't touch. Driving beyond the Resort to the south is not a good idea either. No trespassing signs abound and from what we hear they are very strict about this. Be respectful. Pool area is very nice but shallow, max 4 feet. It is a short pool too, laps would be difficult. Garbage is picked up at your site every day of the week, this was very nice. There are no tables at the sites and no campfires are allowed. The office/lodge was nicely kept and they offer a nice library of books and DVDs to use. The pastries were yummy. We camped at Eagle View RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stateline RV Park and Mini Storage, Tulelake, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I have stayed here numerous times in the past, 20 years ago. Then this RV park was a great place. Now, unfortunately the owners simply are not putting any time into it. Sewer connections are plugged beyond hope so be sure the site you pick will drain. Women's restroom was so dirty my wife refused to use the shower. Men's side was a little better. Dump station, which we had to use since our site's sewer connection was clogged, was good but the hose connection for rinsing was out of service. We had to stretch our own hose from a nearby faucet to rinse things off. The park is used by Waterfowl hunters, most of which are friendly but be aware they leave for their hunting grounds very early in the morning. They also have a very nice "picking" room for the hunters that is usually kept clean, unfortunately when we visited it was disgustingly a mess. To bad, this was once a great park. We camped at Stateline RV Park and Mini Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

Chief Joseph Park, Harlowton, Montana

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Great little park located next to the rodeo arena. Well kept. Although each site has electric there is a water faucet near by to put a little water in your tank. Don't forget to do this before setting up your RV. When we stayed the park attendant was a WWII Vet, not many left these days. It was an honor to meet him. We camped at Chief Joseph Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pretty little town, we did not explore but looks interesting. There appears to be history here based on an electric train monument in town.
