Wichita Falls RV Park, Wichita Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stop for us. Office staff was very friendly and let us pick the site we wanted. Pull-throughs are very long and easy in and out. Our site was level and we had a nice grassy spot. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Wichita Falls RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Amarillo RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are nice size and level. The fence between sites was nice. Easy in and easy out with our big rig. Showers were pristine. Laundry clean and $1 to wash and $1 to dry for 45 mins. Office staff very friendly. Lizzie Mae's store very nice. Some sites had a little grass, however our site and a lot of others had a little patch of astro-turf. We found only one little patch of grass to walk our dog on. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Fort Amarillo RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Abilene KOA, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stop for us and we really have no complaints. Office staff were friendly and took us to our site. Site was shady and level. The park was quiet. The reason for the 7 rating is that it is an older park and just not as modernized and updated as it could be. When in the area we will stay here again. We camped at Abilene KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 3 nights while visiting family in Kyle, Texas. Park was clean. Our site was the first site in and I thought it would be noisy, but it wasn't at all. Nice indoor pool. Fredericksburg, Texas KOA, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and well run park. We couldn't get cable TV to work and they sent 2 techs to help. They were here about 45 minutes and found that our cords were hooked up incorrectly. Fixed the problem and we had cable. Didn't charge us even though we offered to pay. Our 4-legged child loved running in the K-9 pet park. We were going to stay 2 nights but enjoyed the park so much that we stayed an extra night. When in the area again we will definitely stay at this KOA. We camped at Fredericksburg, Texas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Loyd Park, Grand Prairie, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice, clean city park. There are a variety of sites; some shaded, some open, some single and some double, some are lakeside and some are not. Trash is put on the road and is picked up all during the day. Our site was perfectly level. The price reflects our senior's discount - did not have to pay the $10 auto entry fee. The reason I didn't give this park a 10 is because, even though the restrooms & showers are clean, the showers are push button, stay on for only a few seconds and appear to have only cold water. Not too too bad in the summer but I'll bet unbearable in winter. Fax: 817-467-4931 We camped at Loyd Park in a Tent Trailer.

Plum Creek RV Park, Kyle, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We had reservations for 4 nights, but when we got there and drove through, we immediately left. This is the trashiest RV park I have ever seen. The office was dirty and dusty. The sites are dirt with holes and extremely un-level. They are close together and I would say 80% of the sites were occupied by long term guests and their sites were unsightly. As we were leaving a very unkempt lady came out in her nightgown. I would be very afraid to leave my camper unattended. Thank goodness they didn't get a deposit when I made the reservation - it wouldn't have mattered - I would not stay here. We camped at Plum Creek RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Cypress Black Bayou, Benton, Louisiana

Overall Rating:

We love this campground. Sites are large and shady. They have recently been repaved. There is a separate beach for rv'ers. On the property there is a petting zoo, nature center, catch & release fishing pond, and marina. There is a large beach and picnic areas for day use. A great family campground. Park rangers are very visible which make for a safe campground. Staff very friendly. We camped at Cypress Black Bayou in a Tent Trailer.

Crestview RV Park, Buda, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice clean park. The owner led us to our site and was very friendly. The park is in back of the Crestview RV Sales & Service. We couldn't get the cable tv hooked up and they sent a gentleman from the service department to help us and he was very friendly and helpful. There is a little highway noise because it's so close to I-35, but not enough to bother us. Very close to Walmart and Cabela's. We will definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Crestview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here while visiting Asheville and the Smokey Mountain National Park. Park was out of town, but in a convenient location. Restrooms and showers were very clean. The site we had was level. The park is located near the interstate, so it was quite convenient, however there is some highway noise. Not enough to bother us though. We would definitely stay here again. This is a very nice, clean park. The sites are level and there's plenty of room for big rigs. The showers and restrooms are especially clean. The owners are wonderful - very friendly and accommodating. The park is near the interstate, so very convenient. There's a little highway noise, but not enough to bother us. We were here during very bad weather and the owner had an emergency plan - we felt very confident and safe. We highly recommend this park.
