Grayton Beach State Park, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful state park with lots of bike and hiking trails and short distance to private beach with beautiful white sands and a nice bathhouse. Small park, maybe 60 sites, no sewer in older loop. The newer loop has sewer hookups, but no shade at all. I would recommend the older loop since all sites are a short walk to the bathhouse and have nice shade. One washer and dryer is located outside bathhouse. A big lake between campground and beach is good for canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and if the wind is good, kite surfing. Reserve well in advance. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Grayton Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Cajun RV Park, Biloxi, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean, centrally located RV park. Park itself is well maintained. The bathhouse is clean and kept up, laundry facilities are good with plenty of washers and dryers ($2.50 washer, $1.75 dryer). There is a nice playground if you have kids, good little dog park if you have doggies and a sand volleyball court. Covered areas with picnic tables, rocking chairs and a corn hole game. There are trains that go by multiple times in a 24 hour period. The tracks are right behind the park and there are multiple cross roads so the train whistles are sounding off and it's quite loud. We got used to it after a few days/nights.

Sites in the middle get muddy and puddle up quite a bit when there is rain. Sites closest to office and road have more gravel and seemed to have handled the rain better.

This park is located right off Beach Blvd so the beach is across the street but you have to walk across 4 lanes of traffic.

Gulfport/Biloxi Airport is 20 minutes away and New Orleans is 1 1/2 hours away. We would definitely consider staying here again if we are in the area. We camped at Cajun RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Casinos are close by as well as a mall and lots of restaurants.

Shaggy's on Beach Blvd is good and Tony's Brick Oven Pizza in downtown Gulfport is great!
