Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights and attended a concert at HersheyPark. The staff was great as was the office and camp store. Our site was a little short for our 38footer but plenty of room between sites. You will need extra water and sewer hose due to utility placement. Our site was level and graveled. If you are going to a concert or to the amusement park you can't beat this park. The shuttle bus saves you money and hassle from having to take your vehicle to the Park. It was expensive to stay here.. I don't know if they raised the price for the concert weekend or not. As always convenience and location is not cheap. Would definitely stay here if going to local attractions. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

The Barnyard RV Park, Lexington, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stop for me. The sites were very long and reasonably level. It was really sandy. If you've read some of my reviews before I hate to park on a sandy site. I battle keeping sand out of the fifth wheel with a vengeance. The ladies at the desk were polite and my registering was fast and efficient. The utilities were great and the cable was even good. Food and fuel were handy. It was easy in and out with zero hassles. I make this trip every fall and will use this campground again next year. We camped at The Barnyard RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sweetwater RV Park, Moneta, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The campground is set up well so you can navigate it easily. The site is off level front to back. Instead of backing in the people beside of me had pulled in disconnected and driven through the yard. I will ask the staff next time if I can do that. It would have made getting level a lot easier. It is tough finding a campground for 2 or 3 nights as seasonal people have just about taken all the sites in the area. Nice little campground we will be back. We camped at Sweetwater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We hired Spike's fishing guide service for a day. We caught some really nice strippers.

Wild Frontier Campground, Ocala, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with most of what has been described by previous reviewers. I just wanted to add a couple of things I experienced. We meet some of the most friendly and kind people we've had the pleasure of camping near. As soon as we got settled we were invited over to their site where 7 0r 8 neighbors were just sitting around enjoying each others company. I have never been more welcomed in a campground.
Please take your time backing in to your site. There are some weird angles and it is tight. Once in the sites they are plenty long enough and dead level. When we were leaving a couple was trying to get in the site next to us with a 40ft 5th wheel. The driver cut it too much and broke out the whole back window of his truck. I wouldn't wish that on anybody. A word of caution. We camped at Wild Frontier Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Timberlane RV Park & Resort, Bradenton, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The campground has only 3 reviews, all of which were very complementary. I think I was expecting something a little more elaborate than what is actually there. The Owner/Manager was extremely nice. She showed us to our campsite and helped us park. She was very knowledgable of the area and provided a written list of restaurants, stores, and attractions. Her directions were excellent and a useful map was provided.

The campground is well maintained. The pool and office are small, but they appeared new and were so clean they sparkled.

My site was really tough to get into. It took the owner, my wife, and 2 neighbors to finally get our 38ft 5th wheel parked. The site was sandy sand. I mean sand. Now I know what you're thinking, Florida is sandy and maybe my parking skills are not the best, points taken. However, from the previous reviews not what I was expecting.

My GPS never could find the place. The sign is surrounded by vegetation and is unlit very hard to see.

This is not a resort in any sense of the word. It is a nice little campground located a few miles out of Bradenton FL.

Will I be back? Sure. We camped at Timberlane RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday Cove RV Resort, Cortez, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

A really nice park. The location is fantastic. You are near the beach, stores, and restaurants. The staff was friendly and efficient. The sites had great landscaping which gave a lot of privacy.

The interior roads were tight, but we had a very helpful guide. It is a little pricey the only reason it is not a 10. Its Florida in the winter so you pay for what you get. We camped at Holiday Cove RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great location. The landscaping was really nice. The staff was friendly, but surprisingly unfamiliar with the area. You will be pleased with this choice. We will definitely stay here when we return to Pigeon Forge. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stonewall Resort, Briar Point Campground , Roanoke, West Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

A beautiful place to camp and relax. Campers have access to resort facilities for a minimal charge. Staff was great. Campground was a short drive to I-79. The only complaint was all of the sites were back in. When you hear that WV is almost heaven this is one of the places that makes you believe. We camped at Stonewall Resort, Briar Point Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Mylan Park, Morgantown, West Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

My son graduated from WVU last weekend. As usual local hotels take advantage of any special events at the University. The event sites were very close and it was great having our camper to entertain friends and family. The camping area is a giant parking lot. All of the utilities worked well and the staff was pleasant. If you need to be in Morgantown this is a convienent place to stay. We camped at Mylan Park in a Fifth Wheel.
