Pilot RV Park, Stanfield, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

The park is close to the highway so there is some noise, but not bothersome. McDonald's and Subway are within walking distance and the gas station here has competitive prices. Lots of green grass and shade trees. Sites are paved with a table and full hookups, including cable. Have stayed here before and will again. We camped at Pilot RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yreka RV Park, Yreka, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The rate quoted is after the Good Sam discount. Our site was a full-hookup pull-through with cable. The trees in the park are still small and offer little shade. Would not want to be here when it's hot. There is a designated pet area, but no fence. All hookups worked well, though. Some of the sites have a picnic table, but not all of them do. May stay here again if in the area. We camped at Yreka RV Park in a Motorhome.

Old Orchard RV Park, Orland, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Chose a pull-through water and electric only site under mature trees. There is no cable, but there are plenty of OTA stations from which to choose. This is a family run business and the gal in the office is very friendly. Dogs are welcome here and the grass is kept green. Although it's fairly close to the freeway, we had a quiet stay. Will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Old Orchard RV Park in a Motorhome.

Los Banos West / I-5 KOA , Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The price quoted is after the KOA discount. The site was a full hookup, pull-through with cable. Most sites have a tree and a picnic table, and there are two fenced dog runs - one for large and one for small dogs. In addition to the cable channels, there are a number of OTA channels, too. Will probably stay here again when in the area. We camped at Los Banos West / I-5 KOA in a Motorhome.

Sierra Trails RV Park, Mojave, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The price quoted was with a Passport America discount and includes a $2.00 charge for cable. Had a shaded full hookup back-in site with cable. The site was quite narrow and on my blind side, so I needed help getting the rig situated, but the office staff was happy to help. It was such a peaceful stay that we stayed an extra day. There's a fenced dog run in the pull-through area down the hill. It's not fancy, but the dog loves sniffing around all of the fallen logs and tree branches. Will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Sierra Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hidden Beaches River Resort, Blythe, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The price quoted is with a PA discount. I stopped twice, both coming and going and noticed that the prices varied. The charge (w/PA) in the pull-thru area which is water and electric only, was $21.00, but the full-hookup back-in was only $18.00. Not sure if it was a mistake or if they charge more for a pull-thru. On the river with nice tables and benches along the shoreline. Dogs are welcome here and there are mature trees that offer shade in most of the sites. If the road into the park were not so rough, I wouldn't question staying here again. We camped at Hidden Beaches River Resort in a Motorhome.

Needles KOA, Needles, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Had a site shaded from the afternoon sun with full hookups and a picnic table. There is no cable, but OTA stations are fairly numerous. The streets here are extra wide and the full hookup sites are on one side of the office building and the water/electic sites are on the opposite side. Propane is readily available and easily accessible. And dogs are very welcome here. Will stay here again. We camped at Needles KOA in a Motorhome.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The price quoted includes the discount for paying cash. The regular price was $42. Had a full hookup, pull-thru with cable and a picnic table. There are small orange trees at each site and a fenced dog run. This is one of my favorite parks, and the people at the front desk are always very friendly and helpful. Will stay here again. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Nella RV Park, Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The price quoted was before the Good Sam discount. Had a concrete pull-thru with full hookups, including cable. There is no designated area for the dog, but there are grassy areas behind the office that worked out quite well. Have been here before and probably will again when in the area. We camped at Santa Nella RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are fast food restaurants just across the street which is nice when you don't feel like cooking. And the best gas price around can be found at the Arco station just across the freeway.

Mountain Gate RV Park, Redding, California

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The price quoted was before both the Good Sam discount, and a $1.00 charge for the dog. Good hookups including cable. The management provides scented poop bags and a fenced dog walk which is always appreciated. The sites have shade trees, tables and grassy areas. Will definitely stay here again when in the area. Valley of the Rogue State Park, Gold Hill, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Had a pull-through with full hookups. There are several loops in the park with both back-in and pull-through sites. Found a paved walk/bike path that was very nice for walking the dog, and as in other Oregon State Parks, there are poop bags available. A bit close to the freeway, but didn't notice the highway noise. Although there were several rigs with raised antennas in my loop, I couldn't pull in any OTA television channels. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Valley of the Rogue State Park in a Motorhome.

Crook County RV Park, Prineville, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large county park situated next to their fair grounds. Easy to find with large pull-through sites and full hookups including cable and Wi-Fi. Green grass and trees at every site. Pet friendly with doggie waste bags placed around the perimeter of the park and a fenced off-leash area just across the street. Friendly staff and the park is within walking distance of town. Would stay here again. We camped at Crook County RV Park in a Motorhome.

Collier Memorial State Park, Chiloquin, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This park has been enlarged since the last time I was here. A loop with full hookups has been added. Both pull-through and back-in sites available, with most at least partially shaded. They are all on asphalt. You are within walking distance of the river and the logging museum, which I highly recommend. And it's an easy distance to Crater Lake. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Collier Memorial State Park in a Motorhome.

Diamond Lake Campground USFS, Diamond Lake, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

This is a national park campground; there are no hookups. Large sites, some with a view of the lake. There are pull-in, back-in and pull-through sites here. I would suggest going left as you pass the office because the roads to the right are pretty tight for a motorhome. This was the off season, so there no one to check us in, but the instructions are clear. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Diamond Lake Campground USFS in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Park, Metolius, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff and large pull-thru sites with full hookups. Office wasn't open when we first arrived, but instructions were clear and had no trouble finding an open site. Some permanent residents which was not a problem. Hookups worked well and were well placed. Will probably come again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.
