Elwha Dam RV Park, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff. Good Wi-Fi, full hookups, no cable but a few over-the-air stations available. Very dog friendly and some sites are shaded. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Elwha Dam RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hobuck Beach Resort, Neah Bay, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The section of the road between the office and the RV park was unpaved and very rough, but once you arrive, you can choose a site facing the ocean with great views. Unfortunately, there aren't many sites available for campers. Most of the area is filled with cabins, so you might want to call ahead. We camped at Hobuck Beach Resort in a Motorhome.

Hard Rain Cafe and RV, Forks, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Rather rustic campground with the basic hookups. (Sewer is only available if you stay two or more nights.) But it's a good jumping off point for a visit to the Hoh visitor's center if you need water/electric which isn't offered in the NP campground. We camped at Hard Rain Cafe and RV in a Motorhome.

Seattle / Tacoma KOA, Kent, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Most sites are narrow and close to one another. Some shaded, some not. Limited sites have 50 amp or cable, but the over the air stations are numerous. Close to a bike path and river. Not far from Seattle. Would consider staying again if in the area. We camped at Seattle / Tacoma KOA in a Motorhome.

Yreka RV Park, Yreka, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

A bit pricey for what's here. Gravel sites that are almost level, grass between sites with small trees that offer no shade, some sites with tables, some not. Good list of cable channels, but with poor reception and a Wi-Fi that I was never able to log on to. Not what I expected for this price. Probably won't be back. We camped at Yreka RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Nella RV Park, Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

There are two sides to this park. The front section is concrete with small trees, and the back section (w/cable) has grass, trees and gravel sites. Very dog friendly and under new management. Remodeling is underway, but thus far does not affect the campers. The price quoted includes an extra fee for cable, but OTA stations are plentiful. Have stayed here before and will again. We camped at Santa Nella RV Park in a Motorhome.

Old Orchard RV Park - Closed, Orland, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing fancy, but the price is right. Had complete hookups and a very level site. Dogs are welcomed, and the Wi-Fi is free and strong. No cable, but 20+ stations over the air. Have stayed here before and probably will again. We camped at Old Orchard RV Park - Closed in a Motorhome.

Saddle Mountain RV Park, Tonopah, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large snowbird park. Rate shown is with PA discount which is good for three days. As said in previous review, the office is closed on Sundays, but self registration is easy. Overnighters are asked to park in the two rows closest to the highway, but that's not a problem because there is very little traffic. Sites are fairly level with a small concrete patio, and there is some OTA television for those of us without satellites. I will come again. We camped at Saddle Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Needles KOA, Needles, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very pet friendly park with full hookups. Can be miserably hot in summer, but the manager always tries to find you a site with some shade. There's no cable, but stations from both Phoenix and Las Vegas come in over-the-air. We camped at Needles KOA in a Motorhome.

Holt's Shell RV Park, Gila Bend, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

The price reflects the Passport America rate, including tax. Nothing fancy, but full hookups and free Wi-Fi. Only one site has any shade, but for the price, it's hard to beat. Very good access to open country to hike and walk the dog. Only drawback is that there is no cable or OTA television reception. :) So beware if that's important to you. We camped at Holt's Shell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

One of my favorite parks. The sites sit between orange trees and the smell of orange blossoms hit me as soon as I stepped out to walk to the office. Since the trees no longer had oranges to pick, I was given a bagful at check-in. A nice touch. Large park so there's plenty of room to walk the dog and there's good off leash area. The rate reflects an extra discount for paying cash, and I will definitely stay here whenever I'm in the area. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bear Mountain RV Resort, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here before, but this time there was no one in the office even though I arrived during the posted office hours. Overnighters are restricted to one row in the park and when I pulled into a site, I found that the utilities were so far forward that I would have been sticking out into the street. Since there was no one there for advice, I moved on. We camped at Bear Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Kit Fox RV Park, Patterson, California

Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Passport America discount. Clean and well landscaped, but some of the sites are pretty close together and all that I saw were very narrow which made backing in a bit of a challenge. Has a small off leash area for dogs with scented waste bags, and is within walking distance of fast food establishments. May stay here again if in the area. We camped at Kit Fox RV Park in a Motorhome.
