This RV park could be very nice, rather than just acceptable. Everything works, the shower and rest room facilities are clean and the host is a very nice, helpful lady who goes out of her way to help her guests. Unfortunately, the Fairgrounds puts no effort into maintaining this place, the grass/weeds hasn't been cut in weeks, and the WIFI doesn't work. That being said, we have been here many times before and we will definitely be back. The other campground in Ukiah is a drug infested parking lot, with barely enough room to open your slides and frequent visits by the police. Trust me, we've been there and will never go back. This is the place to be if you are visiting Ukiah, It ain't fancy, but it's the only place to stay in Ukiah.

Date of Stay:

This is an excellent RV park with a friendly and helpful staff. The long term residents are on one side of the park and their sites are all well-kept. There are MANY short term/overnight sites, some shaded and others in the open. We had no problem with trees blocking our SAT TV antenna. Our site was perfectly level and the sites and roads are kept graded and smooth. If you are thinking about staying in Santa Nella, don't! This is, by far, the best choice in the area and it is away from the noise, traffic and congestion around Santa Nella. We stop here often and we'll be back.

This KOA park is leaving the KOA system and will no longer be affiliated with KOA effective January 1, 2015. According to the management, they need to invest the amount they pay KOA each year in improving the campground. Whatever the case may be, they definitely need to invest in improvements. The sites need lots of work! They are very long, but very narrow and the utilities are placed in very odd places. Our sewer connection was at the front of the site (we had to couple two hoses together to reach it) and raised about a foot off the ground. The other utilities were at the back. Our jacks sunk through the thin layer of gravel and ended about 8 inches down into the mud. After we stacked blocks in the muddy hole, we were finally able to get leveled. Don't get me wrong, the park is not terrible and is probably the best place to stay in the area. The staff is friendly and helpful and are working hard to maintain the park and keep the facilities clean and functional. We are sorry to see them leave the KOA system and we hope they carry through on their promise to invest in improvements.

This park has been recently renovated and is now a top-notch RV park. All sites have 50 amp full hook-ups and level, concrete pads. There is plenty of space between sites but no trees. The view is of the marina and the bay and the waterfront are literally 10 feet from the water. Coronado, a few miles north, has lots of excellent shops and galleries and many high-end restaurants. It's a great place to spend some time, with easy access to the entire San Diego area. We'll be back.

We've stayed here many times and we'll be back. It's well-maintained, quiet, with a friendly and helpful staff. Sites are long and level with plantings to separate you from your neighbor. It can get quite muddy when it rains and the WIFI was totally frustrating. It was really fast, when it worked, but it kept dropping out, losing connectivity, reconnecting, etc., etc. We finally gave up and used our mobile broadband which worked well. That said, it's the best in Kingman.

The staff is friendly and helpful...excellent customer service. The sites are level and roomy, although a bit on the short side if you have a long rig and a tow. It's the desert, so there is little or no grass in the RV area and the gravel tends to get muddy when it rains. The park is clean and well-maintained. The WI-FI was good when it worked; it inexplicably went away numerous times while we were there. Nice park! We'll return.

The staff are great and maintenance is good. The laundry is spotless and all the machines work. Excellent store! However, the sites, while long, are extremely narrow and close together; hardly any space for chairs. The WIFI is basically useless. Most of the time I couldn't even open my browser, much less check mail or open a website. The park could be so much better. We would camp here again.

Date of Stay:

Goodland is primarily an overnight park, not a vacation destination, and as such, the criteria for rating the park is a bit different. The park is clean and well-maintained...the laundry is immaculate. The owners are very nice people who are working hard to maintain the park and provide excellent customer service. The WI-FI worked well. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

This is a beautiful park. The sites are huge and the pads are level. Lots of shade. We were able to get SAT TV through a gap in the trees, but there are only a few sites where that will be possible. It's dark at night and quiet!! No traffic noise what-so-ever! There is supposed to be WiFi in the park, but it wasn't working and apparently has been out for some time. Verizon broadband signal was weak but worked okay. The Host is friendly and helpful...nice people. We wished we had planned to spend more time here. This goes on our list of places to return to and spend some time.

First, the good. The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful...nice people. The rest is not so good. The long pull-thrus on the west side are too close together. What grass there is, badly needed cutting with lots of mud between the tufts of grass. The central part of the park seemed a bit better maintained. Our view was of old trucks and machinery dumped in a water-filled ditch filled with mosquitos. The WiFi was unusable. Lots of continuous traffic noise from the freeway. We stay at KOAs a lot, but this one doesn't measure up to the standards we have come to expect. We won't return.

This is a very nice KOA! It's well-maintained, offers lots of activities for kids and families and the sites are nicely spaced so you are not right on top of your neighbor. Power is solid. The staff is great...nice people who are friendly and helpful. WIFI is great...fast and solid all the time. The only drawback is the location, right next to the Interstate Highway. Traffic noise is significant. It didn't bother us but some may find it intolerable. We'll return.

This KOA is still a work in progress. The new grass and trees need some time to take hold and get thick. While we were there, landscapers were planting new trees and replacing some of the small trees that had not survived. There is lots of space between sites, more than you will find at most campgrounds and the utilities are properly placed. Power is solid. Lots of activities both on site and nearby. It's great to have diesel fuel available on site. There's a lake, sand beach, island and a Frisbee course. This is a really nice KOA that will soon be a great KOA. The owner has invested heavily in this park and it shows. We will definitely return here when we are back in this area.

Date of Stay:

Very nice in all respects. Long sites, well-maintained, with staggered parking so you are not right next to your neighbor. Friendly, helpful staff who greeted us on arrival and showed us to our site to insure we would have no problems parking and getting set up. Excellent WIFI, even in the evening with a full campground (when most systems crash and burn.) The laundry is a bit small, but the machines are clean and they all work. We enjoyed our stay and we'll be back.

Elk Meadows is the best of a group of mediocre RV Parks in the Estes Park area. This is the least crowded of the parks. The sites are plenty long for any size rig and tow, and there is enough space between sites to extend your awning and have a bit of privacy. The staff is great: friendly and helpful, and the keep the park clean. The utilities are well placed and in good working order. There is no grass and very little effort has been put into improving the "natural" landscaping. It is a nice park, but it could be sooo much better. My primary complaint is with the WiFi. It worked pretty well about 20% of the time. The other 80% was extremely frustrating and annoying. Most of the time, we couldn't even open the browser, much less open a website. When we did manage to open our browser, we would suddenly lose internet connectivity, requiring us to disconnect, reconnect and start all over again. They have antennas all over the park, which makes it easy to connect, but apparently the ISP lacks bandwidth to provide decent service. You can tell that, for me, WiFi is an important service. In my opinion, it needs to be improved. All that being said, we'll return. This is as good as it gets in Estes Park.

Date of Stay:

The staff is great! They will go out of their way to help you and provide great service. The park itself is okay and we would stay here again, but, it's an older park that could use some updating. The roads and sites are very narrow, making it tricky to negotiate in a big rig. It feels very crowded and it is. It's also expensive for what you get, but then, so is everything else in Steamboat Springs. Expect quite a bit of road noise if you stay here. All that being said, we enjoyed our stay and would return.
