Cherry Valley Lakes RV Campground, Cherry Valley, California

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This, at one time was a beautiful park but permanent residents have taken over, and the park looks tired and run down where the RVs are parked. Sites are very close together. Long way to sewer connection which is just pressure inserted, not screwed in. The check-in office, you don't go into. You slid your information and money through an opening. Around the ponds it is quite lovely. The pool and spa look well kept up, few activities, laundry facilities appear quite clean. Website is misleading. Supposed to be a membership club, but freeway sign advertises RV parking $10/night. We camped at Cherry Valley Lakes RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lost Hills RV Park (formerly Lost Hills Campground), Lost Hills, California

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Site is on a sand lot. Spaces are big enough but nothing redeeming about the facility. There was a dog run. Behind the campground is a huge sandy area for the dog to run in. For a layover it was okay but nowhere you'd want to spend any time. It's in the middle of nowhere, but services have been built up around huge truck stops at this location. Lots of chain restaurants. Website is very misleading. We camped at Lost Hills RV Park (formerly Lost Hills Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bakersfield 50 miles away. Lots of fast food restaurants in the nearby area. A little restaurant, the Iron Skillet had a small buffet - breakfast and dinner.

Riverpark RV Resort, Grants Pass, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Next time we'll stay longer. A small park - but the most beautiful setting you could ask for. Our site was right on the high bank of the Rogue River and it was breathtaking. Campground managers went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Neighbors were also very friendly. Too many trees for satellite to work, but adequate cable. Camp Wi-Fi not the best. We camped at Riverpark RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Shamrock Village, Eugene, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Very very tight spaces. The RV section is an afterthought added on to a very very old mobile home park. We were going to stay 2 days - stayed only one. Needed lots of help to get out of our space. If we weren't visiting our grandson at the University we wouldn't have stayed. Didn't really feel safe - wouldn't return for any reason. The only redeeming feature was the friendliness of the woman checking us in.

If you have any other option, use it. We camped at Shamrock Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Corning RV Park, Corning, California

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Good experience. Set in the middle of an olive grove. Many permanent residents, but the park was very clean and well maintained. Not much in the way of amenities and not much to do in Corning, but sites large and level. Very friendly staff and neighbors. Large dog run. Fairly quiet - great Thanksgiving dinner at the Rolling Hills Casino. Great place for a layover or just a few days to unwind. We camped at Corning RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
