Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA), Wade, North Carolina

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 1 Month. 560+elec. This is mostly fulltimers, either stationed at Bragg or working there. It's a nice park, clean and quiet. Close to 95 but not too close. Wifi works pretty good, cable works as well. Sites are nice and spacious. Staff is friendly. 2 Pools, clubhouse and gym. Store is ok and has essentials. Down side is location. There is nothing close. Dunn is about 10 miles and Fayetteville is about 15. Roads are mix of pavement and rock. This park is under new ownership and is in the process of receiving more upgrades. But overall is pretty nice place. We camped at Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Playground area is small but in good shape. Close to Richmond and all that it has to offer. Wifi is free and works ok. We camped at Americamps RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cozy Acres Campground, Powhatan, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 1 Month. (550.00+elec). This place is a Campground. Not a trailer park/mobile home park or RV resort. Its a true blue campground. Only a few monthly spots and separate section for seasonal RVs. The pool is large but older. Camp store is well stocked, bath house is clean. Didn't get a chance to eat at the grill but they do have one. Play ground for kids is decent but older. Nice rec hall/ club house. They also have 3 ponds for fishing. Sites are somewhat level and fairly close to one another. Everything is ROCK. Roads, sites, etc. There are green areas for kids to play though. WiFi is only available in the store and they give time limits for use. My biggest complaint was feeling nickel and dimed to death. Extra cost for gate card, extra cost for using CC. Extra cost for fishing pond. Extra cost for sending a FAX. The list goes on. Also the laundry needed upgrading. took 3 cycles to dry 3 towels. Overall it is a Nice family Campground and we may have stayed longer but it was 50minute drive for work. I do recommend it for family CAMPING, as they do involve the kids on holiday weekends. We camped at Cozy Acres Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sun n Shade RV Park, Punta Gorda, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Snowbird park, with a few full time residents and fair amount of park models, but not a trailer park. Out of season it's a Ghost town. We stayed 1-1-15/ 3-1-15. 850.00 a month for 50 amp. Park is old and it shows. There is a full calendar for snowbirds in season but doesn't offer much outta season. Pool is small, laundry was broke more than functional. Bathhouse weren't nasty, but far from nice. Sites are all grass, fairly level. When it rains most of the sites will flood. Multiple units stuck trying leave if it rained the night before. Roadways are paved which is nice for walking, and there is a decent nature trail. Cops were called more than once for theft and drug sales. We started referring to it as the Sun and Shady. Also there is very little shade in the park. Must purchase WiFi, can't remember the price, but it did work with pretty good speed. Location isn't bad its in between Punta Gorda and Fort Myers. They do allow all Breed and Size dogs, which is rare for SW FL. We camped at Sun n Shade RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Seminole Campground and RV Park, North Fort Myers, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

First off, this is a snowbird park, so in season it is full capacity and expensive. 1200 a month+elec. We stayed from 3-1-15 through 8-1-15. The park is very nice and clean and the folks are friendly. There is a nice nature trail for walking along with a nice Gym, and rec room. They were installing the new pool and it wasn't finished before we left, but it was going to be a walk in style pool. Sites are great. Level, clean, all hookups. Wifi is sketchy at best. Its was constant struggle while we were there. Depending on location of your site you may or may not have access. And even with a good signal its constantly losing internet connection. Overall though it is a nice park and close to everything Lee County has to offer. We camped at Seminole Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
