This campground is overpriced and noisy! It is close to the bridge and right next to the parking lot for the harbor and shipping and fishermen and it was unbelievably noisy. We would not stay here again. The sites are very close together. I felt like a sardine.

Next door to the campground, they are building a court house. There was constant earth moving construction noise from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. every day, including Saturday. This was right behind our motorhome. The second day, which was Saturday, we complained and asked for our money back for Saturday night and that we were leaving. There really was no place in the park that you couldn't hear the construction noise from the earth moving equipment. They refused to give us a refund, only a credit. That was patently unfair. They should have warned us in advance about the construction next door and we would not have stopped at Mammoth Lakes. We won't return to this campground. Once they build the court house next door, it will be too noisy to enjoy the campground.

Very rude owners. We had reservations for one night during July 4th holiday, which we reserved with our credit card. When we arrived they said we should have sent a check and that the person who took our reservations was inexperienced and should have asked us to send a check. They said the park was full and there was nothing they would do. While we were there, one of their visitors came in and asked to move to another site because there was no picnic table. They said take one of the tables near you and he said what will those folks do and they said "that's their problem." These people are so rude and we would never stay there.
