Moraine View State Park, Le Roy, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly shady sites with mature trees. Lake is very pretty, direct access close to F section. F1 is the only pull through, but one pin in 30 amp power receptacle was arcing. There was a sign that said -max 24 -amps even though it was a 30 amp. We moved to C8 one of the 5 50 amp sites- it had a sign - max 40 amps. (C5,6,7,8,9 are all 50 amp). campground was pretty empty midweek after Labor Day. We had 5 clear channels with antenna:, cbs, PBS.. Stayed for one night, would return. Very nice camp hosts. We camped at Moraine View State Park in a Motorhome.

Moore's RV Park (formerly Desert Rose Resort), Bloomfield, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was a previous KOA. Campsites are large, level, gravel, and we had 2 good size trees. Easy to get into site and plenty of space in the campground. While the sites are gravel, the outside edge had pine trees and grass and a huge cork tree. There is a pool, looked nice but we didn't go. Very good cable, Wi-Fi was excellent- we had no trouble connecting and speed was great. This is the closest campground to Chaco canyon-60 miles. We camped at Moore's RV Park (formerly Desert Rose Resort) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Chaco canyon 60 miles away. Make sure you arrive in time for the 10 AM ranger hike of Pueblo Bonito. From the campground to the visitors center was 1 1/2 hours. Call the park (they answer at 8 AM) to check road conditions.

Marina Dunes RV Park, Marina, California

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

After reading all of the previous reviews, I was a bit concerned about staying for a week. Our site was level, trees and tall bushes offer much privacy. We found one water bottle and a bag left by previous campers on our site. Walking through the campground there is a lot of difference is space size, they definitely match your rig to the site size. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The walk to the beach was about a quarter mile, easy walk along a trail beside beautiful flower covered dunes. This is a small park and it is right next to highway 1, but the noise didn't bother us. There is a picnic table, paved patio and a fire pit that you can move where you wish. We stayed 7 nights, paid for 6 and got the 7th night free. We also got a good Sam discount which brought the price including tax to 60.00 per night. We will definitely be back, this is a very nice campground. We camped at Marina Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Loyd Park, Grand Prairie, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful city park. Huge sites with water and electric, farily level, a covered picnic table area and fire ring. We were the only campers in G loop during the week, by Saturday all sites were full. Some sites are open and in full sun, some sites are wooded, all are spacious. We camped at Loyd Park in a Motorhome.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent campground. Pull through sites clean, fine gravel, level. We have a motorhome and north facing sites face Organ mountain range, beautiful sunsets! Hot tub was outside, huge and perfect temperature, changing rooms/shower area close to hot tub and look brand new, clean, roomy with an ante-room to sit. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We ate dinner at La Posta in Mesilla, 0.9 miles away from camp. It was an excellent Mexican restaurant. Food and service great. Margaritas were wonderful. Average Prices.

I had about an hour and a half to shop in the historic town of Mesilla, cute shops, reasonable prices.
