Anchors Aweigh RV Resort, Foley, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nightly rate was based on the break down of the rate for a two week stay. This is a beautiful, very well-kept park with paved streets, pads and patios. A picnic table is included with each site but no fire pit or ring. There is fairly adequate WIFI as well as cable TV. Electric, Water and Sewer included. There is clean laundry facilities and a very nice pool. A nice community room and several planned activities such as Bingo, Saturday breakfasts and Friday night ice cream with live music are available for those who are interested. We camped at Anchors Aweigh RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Deam Lake State Recreation Area, Borden, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We had visited this park last winter but could not get in to see the campgrounds. We booked this park as we were going to a nearby town and thought we would take a chance. We were very pleasantly surprised. We had a site with a water view that would have been better had some of the brush been cut back. Our site had ample room, a picnic table and a fire pit. We had an electric site in the F loop. The bathroom and shower house were quite nice but the building could use more ventilation as the temperature was in the 90's and the air was extremely heavy in there. A great stay and we will be back again. We camped at Deam Lake State Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to try Norma Jean's Ice Cream in nearby Borden as well as Huber's Farm and Restaurant in Starlight, Indiana. Both of these are close and a real treat.
