Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park, Mccalla, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Huge park with great museum about the ironworks. No reservations taken. We arrived and found out it was spring break and the park was packed! RVs very close in full hookup area. We were directed to Lot 3 and found a pull through-where the spots are nearby but not as close as in other areas. As a first time camper to this park, direction signs within the campground repainted and at checkin an information sheet of hiking trails , times miniature train and ice cream shop operate would be helpful. Checkin person said "things are crazy here". We camped at Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tombigbee State Park, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Small loop for RV sites. They are close together. The rest of the park is beautiful -has great hiking trails and a large lake. Playground area for kids is large. Baseball field is well kept. Tent sites are very nice with seat swing, wood platform, poles for two hammocks and grill. Never seen such nice tent sites! We camped at Tombigbee State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great park that is well maintained. Our site was on the bank of the river. Private covered shelter for our picnic table! Restrooms very clean --even on a very busy spring break weekend. Friendly personnel at check in. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Travel Trailer.

Roadrunner RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Newer, very well kept urban RV park. I gave the 9 rating based on what I feel I want in an urban park. Pull throughs with great hookups, digital cable TV, and 2 sewer hookups per site. New bathhouse that is very, very nice and very, very clean. Great laundry room-1.50 for washer and 1.50 for dryer. Sites staggered so you do not feel closed in. Quiet Road noise, but with fan on in the trailer we slept fine ( and we are light sleepers). We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Drive thru the Bass Pro Shop parking lot to a connected lot southwest side of the store. Catch the #50-Discovery bus there that will take you downtown to the museums and return you. Bus usually operates until evening hours -ask driver exactly how late. Buy a $1 bus pass that is good for 24 hours! Have exact change! Great cafe at the OKC Museum of Art.

Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort, Elephant Butte, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Two level park that may require walking and/or stairs to get to the pool, tv lounge etc. We had some view of the mountains at a back in site on the upper level. The lower level seems nicer because the sites are spaced out more and landscaping is present. Told when I made a phone reservation a picnic table would be at my site but it was not. We camped at Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very well-kept, clean KOA park. Staff member picked our empty propane tank up from our site, filled it and returned it to our site. Desk staff was very friendly and helpful with a couple issues we had. Easy off and onto the interstate. Quiet park. We have stayed here before and would return again. We camped at Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Easy on and off from interstate. Be sure to take the WEST business loop. Check in and very friendly staff. Sites Are level and long. Hookups all work well. We had an end spot near the train tracks. Trains rarely blow their whistles here and we slept fine (even with one of us being a light sleeper). We would return. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A Deming Roadrunner Rv Park, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Easy in and out. Lots of level, pull through, full hookup sites. Hookups worked very well. Most sites very close.Great cable. Woman who checked us in was friendly and very efficient managing both the front desk and filling propane tanks. Signs of recent attention to the park include a new entrance/road fence, painted site marker posts, and attractive play area for kids. Better not have cigarette smoke smell (although faint) in the office. We would return. We camped at A Deming Roadrunner Rv Park in a Travel Trailer.

Monahans Sandhills State Park, Monahans, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The dunes are an amazing display of nature. Unique experience to climb and explore the dunes. One night we had an absolutely fantastic sunset!!! Visitor center is an ample space but the displays are dated and lack energy. You do not come away with much enthusiasm for the park. But, once you stay there and hike the dunes it is a great experience! Restrooms in the visitor center were out of order. One shower in the men's restroom had only cold water. Site 14 is located as you enter the camping area loop. It is on the corner of the road, very small and faces all the oncoming traffic of the camping loop. We camped at Monahans Sandhills State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed one night in the park. It was clean and well kept. We had site 15 and backed our trailer in with a great view of the lake. Sites are spaced out nicely. Each site had a picnic table and grill. Picnic table was under a spacious shelter at each Gates close at 10 PM each night. No reentry after that time. Overall Rating:

RV park is in a very well kept park. Reservation was easy to make over the phone. Despite two washer changes, our water hookup had small drip. Maintenance fixed it first thing in the morning when we were notified them. We really liked our stay here! Some sites are close together --the only downside to staying here but everything else is so nice! We camped at Spearfish City Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Easy check in and woman at the desk very pleasant. Alternating direction of RV pull through resulting in shared hookups of every two RVs and closeness of RVs. Long rows of sites with little grass and short trees so no ambiance at all.Quiet at night. We camped at North Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.
