Sleepy Sunflower RV Park (formerly Open Corral Campground), Ogallala, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We called the night before and were able to get a reservation for a pull thru site so we didn't have to unhook. We were met by very helpful staff and escorted to our campsite. The staff member pointed out the hookup connections for us. We had no trouble using the free WiFi from space 21. We camped at Sleepy Sunflower RV Park (formerly Open Corral Campground) in a Motorhome.

Little Arrow Outdoor Resort (formerly Tremont Outdoor Resort), Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

If you stay a week, the 8th night is free. Quoted price was for full hookup site NOT on the river. Most of the river sites have a covered picnic table overlooking the Little River. The new owners have put a LOT of money and work into improving this campground. WiFi was very fast, although the campground was sparsely populated when we stayed, before Memorial Day weekend. We camped at Little Arrow Outdoor Resort (formerly Tremont Outdoor Resort) in a Motorhome.

Jackson Rancheria RV Park, Jackson, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

They have the fastest wifi I've ever encountered in an RV park. The grounds are immaculate. This is a fairly new park, so trees are still very small. They have 2 washing machines ($1.00) and 3 dryers ($1.00 for 45 minutes). We camped at Jackson Rancheria RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit Sutter Creek for wine tasting and shopping. The Union Inn & Pub in Volcano has really good food and a nice patio area. Call for reservations.

El Dorado County Fairgrounds, Placerville, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are very basic, with water and electric only. There is a dump station for an additional $8 per use. However, the bathrooms and shower facilities were clean and spacious, so we didn't use our waste tanks much. This is certainly a better bargain than the other place which is about 10 miles from Placerville. A grocery store, gas station and brewery/restaurant were all within walking distance. We camped at El Dorado County Fairgrounds in a Motorhome.

Alexander Valley RV Park & Campground, Healdsburg, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason we chose this park was its location just outside of Healdsburg, as we were there for wine tasting. The site we were originally booked in was a pull-through with no shade. Since it was over 100 degrees when we arrived, the office offered us a choice of back-in sites that were shaded, which we appreciated. We would stay here again, but only for the location. We camped at Alexander Valley RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Pleasant RV Park, Bothell, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Large park, mostly full-timers. Clean and attractive. The staff was courteous. Laundry clean and adequate. Sites are narrow but with privacy hedges between sites. We had a three night reservation, when we arrived around 3:00 in the afternoon our site was still occupied and we were asked to park in the Safeway Grocery across the street until the current occupants left. No problem, we needed to buy groceries anyway.

The website indicates wifi is included; it was not offered until we asked. Free wifi usage is limited to one hour a day. You have to log in each day to get your free hour. There is an option to buy additional time. Of course, like most RV parks/campgrounds it is very slow.

The biggest issue was the sewage disposal. When we tried to dump, it was clogged (you can imagine what a mess that was.) We had to dump at the dump station. Again, we realize things like this sometimes happen however, since we were paying for a full hook up, we expected to be reimbursed for the services we paid for but was not available. They did offer to give us a free night's stay any time in the future. Really!? That was pretty lame as we live in Kentucky and unlikely to use the offer.

Bottom line, we got the equivalent of a Corps of Engineer stay at a RV resort price. We camped at Lake Pleasant RV Park in a Motorhome.
