Voyager Resort & RV Park (55+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very happy with our stay here. The sites are spacious, whole park is well kept. You will be escorted to your site and helped to get into it if you need it. Many permanent residents...but felt very friendly and welcoming. Showers and restrooms clean and modern. I have never seen so many organized activities and special events in an RV park. Lots to explore in the Tucson area. On and off road(desert) bicycling accessible from the park. The park is very large so it can be a bit of a long walk to the shower/restroom/pools, depending what area you are put in. I only deducted a point because wifi was only at certain locations centrally and was very slow. Restaurant on site and small store. Great Craft Market on site twice a month. We stayed a month and will be back. We camped at Voyager Resort & RV Park (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bicycle trails in the desert right outside the park. Also accessibility to paved trails about a mile up Kolb Rd. at Julian Wash which connects to Tucson Loop. Pima Air Museum, Old Tucson Studios were both great days. Winter Classic Show Jumping at Pima Fairgrounds was a short drive. Further to Tubac for tons of craft shops. Saguaro National Park, Tucson Mountain Park, the Biosphere, Catalina State Park, Tombstone...each one doable with some driving in a day trip. I could go on.

Sage Hills Golf & RV Resort, Warden, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Good stop. Small park right on nice golf course. Gravel sites, nicely spaced, with grass all around. Clean washrooms. Nice people. There is some highway noise but it doesn't bother us. Only downside was just one toilet and shower for women. Coming from the south, Othello, it was not well marked. Our GPS found the left turn onto 11 SE. Then immediate right beside golf course to THE V office. We camped at Sage Hills Golf & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Hillview RV Park, Clarkston, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We had a great stay here. Our trailer brakes needed work and the helpful hosts here recommended a repair shop just down the road. It was a terrific idea, The RV park has clean washrooms and showers, gravel sites separated by wooden rail fences. Our site had a neat green square of grass with room for the picnic table and some chairs. A cable box provided by the office is needed to hook to cable tv. We found basic channels on antenna. Access and check and were easy. I would stop here again. Phone ahead as maybe there are limited sites for transients. We camped at Hillview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Clearwater River Casino , Lewiston, Idaho

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Didn't stay thanks to previous review about low branches. Went back to check it out. Branches much too low. We would not be able at enter or exit with a 34 ft. 5th wheel. Small, muddy circle of sites not inviting even if we could get in. Most sites occupied by what looked like longer term campers. Don't know cost, really. We camped at Clearwater River Casino in a Fifth Wheel.

Utah Lake State Park, Provo, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Loved our 2 night stay here even though it was cold and windy. Would have stayed longer but for other places to be. Beautiful views all around. Nicely kept grounds. Bike/walking trails easy to find. Provo not far away. Washroom/shower building could have been cleaner but not awful. Good TV reception on antenna. AT&T cell available. Felt very spacious but not nearly full during our stay. Would love to come back for longer. We camped at Utah Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sky Ute Casino RV Park, Ignacio, Colorado

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

So happy at this RV park. Wifi is best we've had in a long time. Camp hosts are super. Whole vibe at the casino is great. Passport America rate is a bargain. No cable but a few good channels on antenna. Whole park very well kept.best indoor pool we have seen, although not deep. Bit of a walk to restrooms, showers, laundry but easily doable. Half hour drive to Durango. Closer groceries, hardware, dollar store, trading post a mike away at Ignacio. We camped at Sky Ute Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Loved it here. Our site was so spacious and private. We had shade somewhere most of the day. We had a path to the restroom building but many sites would have long walk. Desert scenery was beautiful. Also made use of the little trading kiosk near the entrance. We camped at Usery Mountain Regional Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kofa Mountain RV Park, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Had a great 4 days here and would have stayed longer except for being booked ahead elsewhere. Sites are wide with nice sized concrete patios. Our site had afternoon shade from a willow type tree. Restrooms 2 showers, laundry all clean and grounds well kept. Well maintained park models mixed in with RV sites but all nicely kept. Management and people here very friendly. Great wifi, some channels on antenna tv. Close to town. Not busy end of March but they say book ahead for winter months. We camped at Kofa Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Benton Oaks RV & Campground, Corvallis, Oregon

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I would echo the previous review except found the concrete shower building rustic but clean. My shower was good enough. I liked the staggering of the full hookup sites. The camp host was very friendly. She did say the park is unavailable part of the summer so phone ahead. Wifi and cable were great! Watch out for a low railway bridge on 53rd. We went left at the roundabout and avoided it! We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We have made many stops here over the years. The pa k is well maintained but the price keeps rising. A back in at this rate costly. And I was very disappointed to be unable to connect to wifi. We couldn't fit our truck on outperform site with our 34' 5th wheel but extra parking was nearby. We camped at Brookhollow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kanab RV Corral, Kanab, Utah

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a terrific spot to stay in Kanab. The new owners are really welcoming and going to make the park even better by improving the wifi. Full hookups with 50 amps all worked fine. Lots of crystal clear channels on antenna. Restrooms, laundry, showers all very clean. Level gravel sites easy to access but quite close if it was full. Easy, short walk or bike ride to town. At least 5 days worth of day trips from Kanab if you are an outdoors type. We had 5 nights and need to come back! This is definitely the RV Park we would choose. We camped at Kanab RV Corral in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park is a great stay for day trips throughout Canyons of the Ancients and Hovenweep. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. The park wifi is good, restrooms and showers clean, full hookups on well spaced, level gravel sites. Close to shopping. With Passport America for one night and other offered specials we averaged out at $35 per night over 5 nights here. Excellent value, I thought. We camped at La Mesa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
