Oceanside RV Park, Port Au Choix, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I would hardly call this a park. Simply a line of back-in hookups so each site faces the ocean, situated on the high beach below the Lions Club building. Not staffed and pretty austere, especially on a foggy, rainy day. We had a reservation without any confirmations, so we just drove on by. Not a place for us. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Viking RV Park, Quirpon, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a minimal park, but is really the only game nearby. The owner was very nice. There is a 'water' problem, but we decided to rely on our filters and had not problems. The sites were level and the WiFi good. The dump station is well positioned and easy to use. We would stay here again. We camped at Viking RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Triple Falls RV Park, St Anthony, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This part is 95% 'seasonal' and the transient lot is a large, circular area with hookups on the periphery in separate area from the masses. We had a reservation, but it became clear that that was only 'talk' so we moved on and did not experience this 'park'. We camped at Triple Falls RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Timberline Campground, Waukee, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $38.00

Wow! What an RV park. Everything was wonderful except the WiFi which seemed to lean toward Apple and cough at a PC. The restrooms were wonderful. Talk about quiet and pastoral. We would stay here again for sure. We camped at Timberline Campground in a Truck Camper.

4 Aces RV Park, Kinsley, Kansas

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a delightful experience. The restrooms were a disappointment, but everything was so nice it gets a good rating from us. The management was very friendly and helpful. Lots of space, train was infrequent and not too loud. Lots of grass, open space! We would stay here again. We camped at 4 Aces RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This park resembles a former KOA that is now an old, poorly maintained, dust bowl. The WiFi did exist but was so slow as to be useless. The restrooms and showers were unmaintained and in very poor repair. The poor trees do not qualify as shade trees. We would never stay here again. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Whitefish Hill RV Park & Campground, Rapid River, Michigan

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Overall this is a nice park. It is For Sale and seems to be suffering from some neglect, but things are pretty good. The WiFi was some of the fastest we saw on our trip. The road noise was bad in the late afternoon, but by early evening it was very light and sleeping was good. We would stay here again. We camped at Whitefish Hill RV Park & Campground in a Truck Camper.

Mountain Valley RV Park, Tehachapi, California

Date of Stay: May, 2005 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Great for a quick stop over, not fancy. Bit of trouble accessing the WiFi, but did get it done. Water had air in line causing my water heater to "burp". Quiet and access is quick. We camped at Mountain Valley RV Park in a Truck Camper.
