Pandion Ridge Luxury RV Resort, Orange Beach, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Well appointed and Convenient to Everything. The check-in process was efficient and the staff was very friendly. We stayed in a large concrete pull-in site overlooking the water. All connections worked perfectly. The sky WAS open for satellite. They also have cable with a good selection of channels. The laundry room was spotless. There is a nice bike/walking trail that winds through the woods. We will be back. We camped at Pandion Ridge Luxury RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This location is very convenient to restaurants and the beach. Be sure to tour the USS Alabama in Battery Park in Mobile, AL and on your way back to Pandion take the scenic coastal connection and stop in beautiful Fairhope, AL on Mobile Bay. Fort Morgan is also a nice place to visit and you can take the ferry to Dauphin Island.

Lake Mead RV Village, Boulder City, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in an upper terrace pull through overlooking Lake Mead. The mornings just before sunrise were breathtaking. The pull through site was very long (we didn't have to unhook our motorcycle trailer) and the hookups were in all the right places. There was a nice picnic table and the sky was wide open for satellite reception. We camped at Lake Mead RV Village in a Motorhome.

It was very hot so thankfully there was a marina a mile down the road where you can rent pontoon and speed boats. And there is a Colorado rafting company that picks up at the office.

Chris' Camp, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

It's always a pleasure to stay at Chris's Camp. It is a must stop for us anytime we are traveling through on I-90. The hosts are the nicest and ensure everything is perfect. The pull through sites are long and level and the hookups are in all the right places. Our site is open enough for satellite reception. Close to the highway but without the highway noise. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Motorhome.

Douglas KOA, Douglas, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We knew this was only going to be an overnight stop so we disregarded any reviews about the esthetics of the campground. We stayed in a pull through and only used the water and electric. The hookups were fine. There was a very nice dog park and also a couple of horse paddocks. My dog enjoyed sniffing the horses noses. Our site was easy in and out. We camped at Douglas KOA in a Motorhome.

Custer's Gulch RV Park, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for three nights visiting Custer SP and riding Needles and Iron Horse highways. When we checked in the lady told us our registration was made for four nights and that we would have to unhook our motorcycle trailer and place it in their storage area. I started to get upset more about unhooking than the extra night. She was very accommodating and put us in a nice pull through site that fit us perfectly. The park was situated just down the road from the Sylvan Lake entrance to the park and was very convenient to downtown Custer. Aside from being charged the extra night, it was a pleasant campground. We camped at Custer's Gulch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain Valley RV Resort, Heber City, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed for one night on our way to Custer South Dakota. We would have loved to stay another night if our schedule allowed. These were really long concrete pull through sites in an adults only section of a park that did have other sections for families. The park is extremely well maintained and spotless. The hookups were logically placed and we were open to the sky for satellite. There was a huge dog park, although it looked like it may have been a retention pond at one point. We camped at Mountain Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $74.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here while I was attending a conference at MGM Grand. The park was convenient enough. I Ubered each day. We didn't want to unhook our motorcycle trailer so we asked for a premium pull through site that would be long enough. It was, but there wasn't really anything premium else. No grass, however we were on concrete. There were loads of other sites in the park with grass and small trees. These sites appeared to have been two sites front and back at one time so there were hookups on either end. I didn't use the pool area, but it looked nice. If you don't need a pull through, opt for one of the nicer landscaped lots. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mesa Verde RV Resort, Mancos, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week over the Labor Day weekend. It offered a good central location for visiting Mesa Verde, Four Corners, Durango, and Silverton. Our pull through site was very long and wide open to the sky for great satellite reception. We viewed a beautiful prairie field and two ponds out our front windshield. The hookups were well situated and worked well. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The town of Cortez was a few miles down the road and had a Walmart and fuel. September was a little chilly and rainy due to their lingering monsoon season. Go to the Mesa Verde visitors center less than a mile down the road to book ranger guided tours.

Mountain View RV Resort, Canon City, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for four nights to visit the Royal Gorge, take the train and do a couple of scenic motorcycle rides. This was a very clean and well appointed campground. Our site was level, included a large concrete pad and was conveniently located to Canon City and the Royal Gorge. The guy in the office led us to our site and, as noted in other reviews, wiped off out table. He also gave us a couple of motorcycle ride suggestions, which we took. The scenery was breath taking, as was the altitude. :-) We highly recommend MVRR. We camped at Mountain View RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Royal Gorge RR was great fun. Go mid-week. The Royal Gorge itself is a bit of a tourist trap, but a must do while in the area. We rode to Cripple Creek. If you don't gamble, which we don't, it's really not worth the trip. The ride there and back was scenic. Not a heck of a lot to do in Canon City, but there is fuel and a Safeway.

Colorado Springs KOA, Fountain, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here because Garden of the Gods had been flooded out. It turns out this was a great park for our daughter, grandkids and great-grand kids to come visit us. We stayed in the back by the creek on a level 45' pull thru with a concrete patio, chairs, firepit and barbeque. The noise from I-25 was noticeable, but not awful. We had a nice fire each night and the kiddies got to play in the splash pool and there was a tractor ride in the evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We camped at Colorado Springs KOA in a Motorhome.

Wow! What a gem. We were passing thru on our way to Colorado Springs. This was the perfect overnight stop. Great camp hosts. Excellent Wi-Fi. Right off I-70. There was even a dog park. Fern Lake Campground, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good stop for an overnight stay. The park is easy on and off of I-24 and easy to get into and out of. The area where we stayed was more like a large gravel parking lot with full hookups. We were too long for these sites with our tow, but the attendant put us towards the end of the row so no one needed to go around us. He was very nice. As close as we were to the highway it was very quiet. We travel through this way often and it is nice to be able to find places like this. Nothing fancy, but a nice quiet place to spend the night. We camped at Fern Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Grassy Pond FamCamp (Open to the Public), Lake Park, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for an overnight. We chose our Grassy Pond for the price and it didn't seem to be as mossy from the pictures. This is a decent park. 6 pull thrus. Don't expect to get satellite, which was fine for us. We only hooked up our electric. We turned off our middle air conditioner because the electric popped when we tried to use the convection oven, again, no big deal. The staff was pleasant and this wasn't much further from I 75. $25.00 and no tax was quite affordable. We'll stay again. We stayed in a 45' motorhome towing. The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This was an excellent choice for an overnight stay with our 45' MH towing. Our site was long, level, and open. The hookups were mid-coach and easy to get to. It is one block off I-65 and across the road from a TA truck stop, but was surprisingly quiet. We were warned at checkin by a very pleasant staff worker that the water pressure was 100 PSI and to use a regulator. The Park was clean and neat with many full-time residents, but still many transient sites sprinkled throughout the park. Nice fishing pond and plenty of grass. This is a keeper and we will stop here again when our travels take us this way. We camped at The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Site 403 is a large wide end pull thru with a nice shade tree and concrete patio. We'll request this site next time. Sassafras rd is between the Arby's and Popeyes Chicken. The entrance sign to the park is small and might be missed. When exiting the park left to I-65 in the morning, be patient. The lights on the left and the right will eventually allow you to safely pull out.
