A very nice Mississippi state park, most sites overlook a large lake. Office staff was very accommodating. Price is senior rate. We camped at Paul B. Johnson State Park in a Motorhome.

Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

An older park. Heavy tree cover will be helpful in summer. Concrete pad. Office staff (and there were three) appeared to be bothered by customers...and I was the only one in the office/store. Considerable noise from interstate, usable for overnight stop. Cable and wifi satisfactory. We camped at Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA in a Motorhome.

Montgomery South RV Park, Hope Hull, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice wide sites with concrete patio and grass. Friendly, helpful office staff. Clean restrooms. Excellent wifi. Not many transient sites available, be sure to call ahead. Some interstate and railroad noise, but not loud or consistent enough to be irritating. We camped at Montgomery South RV Park in a Motorhome.

Presnell's Bayside Marina & RV Resort, Port St. Joe, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Sits directly on the bay, views are nice. Sites are level, but narrow. Park visitors appeared to include snow birds, families, and fishermen. I'm sure supply and demand dictated price, but I thought it was excessively expensive for the facilities provided. (Price listed includes tax; I divided my cost by the number of days that I stayed.) We camped at Presnell's Bayside Marina & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cottonwoods RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Spent four nights, mid-week. Quiet park, minimal road noise--hallelujah! Well cared for, mature trees, grass, and plantings. Level site. Friendly, capable office staff. Park decorated for fall holidays; several activities planned. This would be a '10' park, except that sites are close together; not much space between you and your neighbor. I will definitely use this park again. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Huntington / Fox Fire KOA, Milton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $36.00

Lovely park, superb family restrooms, grassy, treed sites. Very accommodating park/office staff. Wifi not reliable. Great dog park. Convenient to interstate, but also has significant interstate noise (the price you pay for convenience, I suppose). We camped at Huntington / Fox Fire KOA in a Motorhome.

Fern Lake Campground, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, small park, near interstate, but not so near to have excessive noise. Level grassy site, with large trees. This site had only electricity, no sewer, water was a distance away (and not turned on). As it was, I only needed electricity, but it seemed a little pricy for that type of hookup. Park appeared to have mostly permanent residents, but at least 8-10 sites available for overnighters. For overnight, it is fine. We camped at Fern Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Chipmunk Crossing RV Park, West Plains, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

A lovely, small park (only 18 sites), impeccably clean and neat! If you are not in a hurry, call first (only open six months of the year) and take the ten minute drive to this back roads campground. The peace and quiet will astound you. Welcoming, on-site owners. Lovely pet walk. Highest recommendation. We camped at Chipmunk Crossing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great park! Paved, level sites, most with shade. Excellent reservation system; accommodating, helpful office/park staff. Park runs a $10 shuttle bus to downtown visitor center...so much easier than dealing with downtown traffic and parking. We camped at James Island County Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park, clean, neat, helpful staff. Nice trees, has a small fishing pond. Quiet, especially considering that it is relatively close to the Interstate. Fenced dog park. Level site; sites are somewhat close together, but certainly okay. We camped at Sallisaw / Fort Smith West KOA in a Motorhome.

Shreveport / Bossier City KOA, Shreveport, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Relatively quiet campground, considering proximity to interstate. Great dog park, has elements of dog agility course. Friendly, helpful office staff; I appreciated that they spread out the traveling RVers, leaving space between occupied sites. Great trees; nice patio sets at most sites. Some spaces have concrete pads. WiFi OK for email, not so good for web browsing (and that was with the park half-full). We camped at Shreveport / Bossier City KOA in a Motorhome.
