Birmingham South Campground, Pelham, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access and egress firm I-65. Not far from Birmingham and the town of Pelham has everything you need and is easy to get to. The campground appears to be an old KOA site. Some sites are not very level which can be difficult for some units to level, saw a few units next to us have a bit of trouble getting level. Staff is friendly. Campground is clean. The internal roads need a bit of work as they have some potholes and broken pavement. Only small issue is the dogs barking during the day by main house/garage at back of campground, after awhile can get a bit annoying. Good value place. We camped at Birmingham South Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Satellite service depends on where you are located, ours was a bit spotty because of the trees but sites west of camp office have more open sites for satellite.

Anthony/El Paso West KOA (formerly American RV & Marine Resort & Rally, Anthony, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

As most have said, large parking lot, no trees, dusty. It is a quiet area. Nothing really close to walk to. Good to stay if looking around El Paso and not spending a bunch of time at park. We camped at Anthony/El Paso West KOA (formerly American RV & Marine Resort & Rally in a Motorhome.

Albuquerque Central KOA, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Goof pull through sites for big rigs towing vehicles. Very friendly staff. Good resource for places to eat and other information. Sites are well maintained and easily accessible for hookups. Sites are level on hard surface. Beside I-40 south but there is a tall sound wall. Noise is constant but becomes white noise except for trucks using exhaust brakes down hill. Noise not much of an issue. We camped at Albuquerque Central KOA in a Motorhome.
