Kentucky Horse Park Campground, Lexington, Kentucky
Date of Stay:
October, 2017 -
$30.00
Overall Rating:
Wide sites but close together. Need reservations probably unless primitive camping. Very easy on off I75. The Horse park has lots of activities so that is why always crowded. We were there during Horse show, Keeneland race track live and UK college football. Nice playground for kids and game room. Lots of horse trailers but horses stay in stalls at Horse park. Friendly family campers. Our site needed few leveling blocks. Tight back in fornour neighbor who had a long trailer. We camped at Kentucky Horse Park Campground in a Motorhome.

We have a 24 foot van and these are extremely small spaces length wise. Width wasn't so bad in the space and it is nice in the forest but so surprised how small and very little space to back your RV in to spot. We camped at Cumberland Falls State Resort Park in a Motorhome.

Livingston / Paradise Valley KOA, Livingston, Montana
Date of Stay:
June, 2017 -
$50.00
Overall Rating:
Tight spots but still had enough privacy. On the river with cabins as well as tent and RV sites. Very kid friendly which almost was a detriment as racing bikes were a little dangerous on tight roads. Laundry was super nice! Would stay again. Reservations a must as full when we were there. We camped at Livingston / Paradise Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Wekiva Falls RV Resort, Sorrento, Florida
Date of Stay:
February, 2017 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
Needed a place to stay close to our RV dealer La Mesa and this was ideal. So surprised to see a huge 800 site park that was very close to nature and not sterile. The park is centered around wonderful waterway full of birds and even a safe place to swim. Sites are close together but we felt like we had room to enjoy because of all the trees and nature around us to walk through. Nice staff. Great dog park and dog wash. We camped at Wekiva Falls RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Flamingo Campground (NPS Campground), Homestead, Florida
Date of Stay:
January, 2017 -
$15.00
Overall Rating:
I will always remember this campground at the southern tip of the Everglades as full of mosquitos and black vultures. Mosquitos are so bad that unless you have a screen house you will not be sitting outside. Lots of bug spray and be prepared mosquitos will get in your camper. Vultures will potentially land on your car/camper and have been known to eat the rubber. They also don't seem to be afraid of dogs at all - amazing!. Campground had water and electric hookup. Easy walk to the water, but would be a little bit of a walking hike to Flamingo marina.
Never saw the campground host. We reserved online and chose our own site when we got there. We
camped at Flamingo Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

I can see in the summer this place would be swamped! You have to have reservations even in the Winter as no "walk up". We camped in a 24foot class B. Our site was against the water-space 13. Showers were clean but only 2 stalls so if campground full it would be crowded. Good lake to bring boat to fish/ski. We camped at Wildwood Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Pickens Campground, Pensacola, Florida
Date of Stay:
October, 2016 -
$11.00
Overall Rating:
I rated this a 9 because on one side of the campground you have the Pensacola Bay and across the street you have the pristine beach and ocean which is relatively free of people. Bring your bikes, kayaks and fishing gear. We preferred loop E as had more open space than loop A. We camped at Fort Pickens Campground in a Motorhome.
Camp store in walking distance but advis you to bring inenough groceries so you don't have to drive out of area.

Sarasota Sunny South RV & Mobile Home Resort (55+ park), Sarasota, Florida
Date of Stay:
September, 2016 -
$34.00
Overall Rating:
Small park and the sites aren't fancy but this is the friendliest, cleanest and best dog park ever! Nice big she'll pad with large concrete patio with picnic table . Dog park has tiki hut with chairs and swings with a toy chest for dogs. Good location to get around Sarasota, beaches and shopping. Cotsco 2 miles away. Extremely quiet and peaceful here. Lots of park models that are extremely well maintained; most for winter visitors. We camped at Sarasota Sunny South RV & Mobile Home Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.
Try the German meat shop on US 41.
