Alexander Springs Recreation Area, Altoona, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice area, friendly people. Secluded area in the Forrest. Includes springs to swim and very tropical setting. Very relaxing vacation. A little drive off the beaten path but worth it ! Plenty of trees between sites, washrooms and sites could use a little more attention. Can get quite smokey from all the campfires. Primitive camping, no electricity. All in all, would camp short term again. We camped at Alexander Springs Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

The Springs RV Resort, Silver Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

First clue, only RV park in Florida half full at peak season. Very rude when checking in, old and unkempt park. Plumbing and cable problems, unheated dirty bathrooms, loud constant road noise. Much nicer less expensive parks, keep driving ! We camped at The Springs RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
