Graceland RV Park & Campground, Memphis, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Good park for seeing Graceland and Memphis attractions. Walking distance to Graceland and pick up location for tours. Park is older and busy but well organized. Fast check in. Pull through sites are close. Our awning nearly touched our neighbor's RV. Sites are gravel, level. Small pool. No off-leash dog park but a huge area of grass and walking trails on site. Would stay here again if in Memphis. We camped at Graceland RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort, Murphy, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Great park convenient to Downtown Murphy, NC. Just a clean, basic park with full hook-ups. Few shade trees, no pool or amenities. Sites are all concrete, level and wide. We stayed in a super site but there was little difference between these and the standard sites. Would've had plenty of room for 40 ft motorhome, toad and even another vehicle in standard sites. Large grassy area between all sites. Park is on the river. No swimming recommended for people or dogs due to strong currents. No dog park. Owner lives in RV on site and is helpful and accessible. We camped at Rivers Edge Mountain RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mountain View Campground, Hiawassee, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I usually reserve a 10 rating for fancy parks with pools and spas, etc, but this park is a different kind of perfect. It's a more rustic setting with green grass and mountain views but full hook-ups. But it's the new owners who make the place. They live on the grounds are available at a moments notice if you have any questions or concerns. They guide you to your spot and are just fun to be around. That seems to filter down and make all the campers happy and friendly. We were there when the park was full for the eclipse. They had movies each night and a fantastic country artist in concert one night in the barn. We'll be back to GA in the spring and will pick this park to stay at again. Oh, btw, the sites were grass, level and the park is very close to town and shopping. We camped at Mountain View Campground in a Motorhome.

Hy-Land Court RV Park, Ellison Bay, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Quiet and pretty park. We were in a large pull- through site with full hook-ups. No cable TV but satellite worked fine. Spacious sites. Big field in front of our site was great for walking dog. Staff were wonderful. We extended our stay with no problem. This park has no pool or other amenities. I wouldn't think it would be great for kids but we loved the peace and quiet. Great location for Sister Bay, restaurants, ferries, shopping. We camped at Hy-Land Court RV Park in a Motorhome.

Buffalo KOA , Buffalo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

We have found all KOAs to be overpriced and this park is no exception. Aside from that, this park is nicer than many KOAs. We had a large pull-through with a large lawn area between sites. Roads and pads were gravel. Hook-ups were fine. Cable TV channels were limited. There was a bubbling stream which our dog enjoyed. There was a smallish dirt dog park. There were several other RV parks nearby which looked great at much lower prices so we would not return here should we be in a Buffalo again. We camped at Buffalo KOA in a Motorhome.

Mountain Valley RV Resort, Heber City, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Phenomenal park, truly a resort. We had booked P2 listed as a premium pull-through but on arrival discovered that this site had a tight turn for our 40 ft MH and was impossible to level. Staff said it is generally used for for fifth wheels. Don't book big rigs in the P sites. I didn't see that when reserving on line. Staff was wonderful and moved us to a super site. This adult-only area was brand new, just opened this summer. Sites were huge, level concrete pads and patio. I saw a large fifth wheel with 2 trucks, a large ATV and a motorcycle parked with room to spare. There are 2 pools with hot tubs, exercise rooms, clubhouses, wide paved roads, daily trash pick-up, cable and good WiFi! Beautiful mountain scenery. 2 dog parks with plush grass. Dog park in the adult-only section was the largest I've found at an RV park and busy with friendly dogs and people. I wish I could give a 9.5 because the only thing missing for us was grass between the sites. The new area is landscaped with rocks and plantings but no grass. We like some grass to have a cool area for our dog off of the concrete. That would have made a perfect 10. Lastly, being so new, the cable is CADTV. This confused us at first because we are used to searching for CATV when setting up our TVs. We camped at Mountain Valley RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Nearly perfect RV resort. Wide paved roads, level concrete sites with large patios, 2 clubhouses with gas fireplaces lit at night, pool and hot tub, pet spa. Option of pull-through sites or sites facing fountains or the Sacramento River. Fountain sites can be back in or pull-through so that motorhomes or fifth wheels or TTs can have a view. Daily trash pick- up all day. All for $49 on a holiday weekend. The only thing missing from my wish list would be a usable dog park. They have 2 "dog parks" which are tiny triangles of sand with no shade. Not usable in 100 degree sunshine or for anything other than a tiny dog. Walking along the river did not feel safe as it seemed that homeless people have set up tent campsites there. We had no concerns for security within the RV park though. This is our second stay at Durango and we would certainly return if we were in the area. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Red Bluff itself doesn't have much to offer but there is a new Walmart and the Raley's grocery store was fantastic. It's about one hour to Lassen Volcanic National Park and worth the drive. We also went to a nearby horse sanctuary which was amazing.

Diamond Lake RV Park, Diamond Lake, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

I was leery about this park after multiple reviews mentioned rude staff. We had no problems with staff at all. This park was the most convenient location for Crater Lake- 4 miles to the north entrance and a nice drive from there to views of the lake. Here's the problems: swarms of mosquitoes. So bad that we could never sit outside despite beautiful weather. They literally cover the screens trying to get in. We left early and forfeited a night's cost because of this. Also, could not get satellite because of trees and no cable or local TV. No AT&T cell or phone service anywhere. Sites are adequate, took a little leveling, hook-ups were fine. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Horrible, ugly campground. Pull-through sites are gravel surrounded by dirt and separated by boulders. Owners renovated these sites last year and didn't replace any grass so to sit outside your RV you are sitting in dirt. Our site faced a group of tent campers who had filled their site with old mattresses and boxes and bags. Complained to owners but nothing done. Campground was full on the weekend so perhaps they don't feel the need to make further improvements. Overpriced for these conditions. This park would be OK for tent campers and children. Just stay away from the pull-through sites. We camped at Olympic Peninsula / Port Angeles KOA in a Motorhome.

St. Mary / East Glacier KOA, St Mary, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Kids working in the office with terrible attitudes. Directed us backwards into a pull- through which we then discovered was only a 30 amp, not 50 which we reserved. Moved to a pull-through which was unlevel and narrow. The sewer location was uphill from our coach. Can't say we've ever seen that before. Overpriced for what you get, which we have found typical for KOAs. Good location for the St Mary entrance of Glacier. The scenery at the KOA is gorgeous with snow capped mountains. BIg Rigs- Beware that US 89 is a narrow, winding road for 31 miles. Manageable but stressful. Hard to believe this is a US Highway. They are doing construction to widen this road in the future. We camped at St. Mary / East Glacier KOA in a Motorhome.

Beaver Lake Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Rather rustic, wooded campground. Large level gravel site. We were in a back- in, site # 32, which had a huge wooded area behind us which was great for our dog. We could put him on a long tether without bothering neighbors. No cable. Wifi never worked. Lots of kids everywhere. They have a pool and water slide for a small charge. Very convenient to downtown Custer and Custer State Park. We camped at Beaver Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The main drawback to this park is the appearance. Landscaping is shabby and there are several run-down trailers on site. Trash was overflowing from the dumpster. That is why I give the 6 rating. However, getting over that the park has much to offer. Pros: a block walking distance to Wall Drug. Closest park to Badlands National Park. Excellent hook-ups, best wi-if we've found in a long time. Very large grass fenced in dog park. Our golden retriever played with so many big dogs there. Easy access off I-80. I would stay here again. Just don't expect beauty when you pull in. Treasure Coast RV Park & Campground, Fort Pierce, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park with wide paved roads, level spacious concrete sites, immaculate grounds. Wifi was poor and we were right next to the tower, but that's been our experience at most parks. Great location- 1 mile to I-95 and the Florida Turnpike but no highway noise. I would give this park a 10 except that there is no trash pick-up and no dog park. The only designated dog walk area is a tiny space off the front parking lot. But overall, a great park and we will return here next year.
